Re entering build it

#1
So I'm gonna download rct3 again finally after like 3 years, and I was wondering if some one could help me become a better builder, I had previously won round 143 and 144 of build it and I entered either 146 or 147 and I lost so I was wondering what I could do better etc

Alright, a few things I see right off the bat: Use more CS, and yes I mean actual scenery pieces. One of the things that stand out as a cornerstone of the RCT series is its modular building. The vanilla scenery pieces aren't bad, they just aren't as detailed and a quite limited compared to CS sets, in addition they really don't mix well with CS. Secondly, I suggest trying to terra-paint more frequently, and make your terrain textures a bit more... detailed. I'm not sure how to explain it in words well but I do know Silvarret has one or two good terra-painting tutorials on his channel. Lastly, my favorite and probably what I might be most well known for (CC-wise anyways) add more ground shrubbery/scrubs/scrubbery. A complete coaster has complete foliage, and shrubbery is something that a lot of people overlook. Now I'm not saying spam beach grass everywhere (that will probably kill your game and PC) just some bushes and scrubs here and there. N7 has many good assorted foliage sets on CS Depot and I suggest you check them out. Lastly - pick up Belgabor's Invisible Doodads. This set includes: invisible queues, paths, entrance/exits for rides, bathrooms, ATMs, and maybe one or two things I've forgotten. The bottom line about it though is that it basically elevates your creative freedom with the game, allowing you to customize things much more than you previously could. If you do use the invisible paths I suggest picking up a set of pathcovers in order to make a CS path where a normal one would flow. I hope this helps! Good layout and support work, good terraforming (although it needs a little work, I suggest making the landscape a bit smoother and using Shy's Rockset for steeper gradations), good foliage work (although it needs some ground shrubbery as well as a bit more variation in plants. I suggest n7's foliage sets [he has tons on CS Depot] they are fantastic and contain more plants than I honestly knew existed), a good station (although I suggest using more CS in the future seeing as vanilla and CS don't normally mix too well), and adequate terrapainting. I'll be back with a list of CS and links for them that I suggest for just basic stuff.
