Park: African Adventure
Type: Theme Park & Water Park
Location: Edmond, Oklahoma

Good afternoon everyone! Here soon I will be positing images on a whole new themed park for Oklahoma, African Adventure Park! This park will have a large parking lot, a welcome plaza, a theme park, and a water park. The theme park and water park will be separated into different sections of the property with separate entrances to each. Would you like to know what you'll be experiencing soon? Keep reading.

Welcome Plaza:
The welcome plaza will be our buffer between the actual entrances to the parks themselves and the parking lot. Once you arrive you'll be welcomed by large African inspired huts & towers. Beautifully designed to let you step directly into the world of Africa. From there you will have the opportunity to purchase your tickets, season passes, and more. There will be many dining options and shopping locations within the plaza.

Theme Park:
From the welcome plaza you'll be able to choose what park you're here to visit. Once you enter the theme park there will be a "main street" designed to allow more more shopping experiences or dining experiences before you head into the park. The theme park will also accommodate it's own Guest Relations so you won't be forced to back track to the welcome plaza. This theme park will have multiple rides(not yet released) with the unique experience of seeing animals! Our animals will be seamlessly themed with the attractions around it to give you that unique perspective of being in the middle of it all. We will release more information on the rides list, animals list, and other things when we're closer to opening.

Water Park:
You've seen many theme parks with an African theme but rarely a water park. This large complex will have multiple attractions that will thrill just about anyone! A huge lazy river will also surround the complex giving guests that relaxed approach as well. Multiple dining locations and shopping locations will be available during your visit.

Future Expansion:
If the success of this park continue we look to expand by adding our African Adventure Lodge. Which will be located just west of the theme park but close enough to give guests the opprotunity to see animals from their balconies. We also have plans to expand the welcome plaza to incorporate a entertainment district with games, dining, attractions, and more!

Sounds really interesting! Looking foward to the upcoming screens about your big project. Smile
Logo looks nice and fits perfectly for an African theming.

The parking lot has been completed and the facade work on the Welcome Plaza look just about done. You can see the construction in the back for the start of the water park!

Just a quick tip: for added realism, any rides you build in close proximity should be quieter rides. In example, Cheetah Hunt at BGT has a very quiet track and launch(s) due to all of the animal exhibits it passes near, as frequent load noise could be stressful to the animals in a realistic setting.

I agree with Rudy18, I have been to Busch Gardens Tampa many times, and all their rides are either far, far, away from the animals, or so quiet it's scary! Anyway, the park looks great!

Universal Orlando and islands of adventure connect to city walk/promenade area; as reading, the area will not develop into a city walk/Disney springs until the future but interesting idea.

Thank you for bringing those wonderful ideas up to me. The team at African Adventure will theme our attractions with the animals health in mind! I look forward to sharing you more construction images soon. Keep your ideas coming.

Good evening everyone! A lot of construction has begun springing up everywhere across the property. As I mentioned before the parking lot has been completed and now the actual parks construction will begin. This is a long process as it's starting at scratch so please have patience!

Today, I was able to take our company's drone out to get some shots of the beautiful park! We are proud to announce that our theme park will be home to a 5-star restaurant! The Abimbola Restaurant, a reservation, paid in advance location. At reservations guests will have the opportunity to dine in three areas of our restaurant. The African Rhino Viewing, African Lion Viewing, or the Savannah Viewing(Giraffe, Zebra & Gazelle). Pricing coming soon.

As you can see in some of the photos that there are other buildings going up. Those both will be a grab and go dining location.

African Safari Trek
This new attraction we can officially announce! The African Safari Trek is the track you see going around the property and exhibits. It will be themed perfectly to fit in with the surroundings and to cause little noise pollution for the animals. This trek will take you through all the animal exhibits giving guests the unique experience of seeing the animals up close. Please note, our animal exhibits are not going to be seen from the ground.

That's all the updates we have for you today! Keep checking back for more. If you have any ideas or things you would like to see please share with us!

A few days ago we showed you some amazing construction photos of the current theme park area. Those photos showed you some amazing views you'll be able to experience when you visit African Adventure!

Today, we were able to get out again and grab some more shots after the construction crew left. A lot has been accomplished over a short time frame. The photos are from our companies drone and are from the African Adventure Water Park! Enjoy.

From this first image you can easily see the completed construction of two slides, our large pool, and the lazy river that will encompass the property. The Water Park's Main Street seems to be just about done, only a few roofs to complete. A lot of lush green trees and plants!

The second photo we included is a shot from the back of the large pool that will greet our guests entering the water park. This "Oasis" will also include a private, quiet area for guests to enjoy our spacious hot tub(located middle left). You can also get a peek of the slides to the right again.

Our third photo gives you a closer image of the two slides and the large pool in the background.

No ride names have been confirmed yet but we can inform you that the Main Street will sell Sunglasses, Sun Screen, Bathing Suits, Floatation Toys, and have multiple dining locations!

That's all we have for now! Keep checking back for more construction updates.

We hope you'll enjoy this latest update! More coming soon.

Good morning everyone. We have some exciting news coming out this morning and we are very excited to share it with you. As you all know we are working very hard on creating a beautiful, thrilling adventure and your feedback is much appreciated as we will be using it to go forward. This morning we have an exciting announcement for our new African Elephant Habitat coming to our park. Of course, the designs aren't the best but they give you a clear understanding of what to you'll be expecting and we cannot wait to bring it to life!

Also, we've included some interesting facts about the new habitat below for you to look over. Enjoy!

African Elephant Habitat 2015 Plans
[Image: j4v7ifc.jpg]

Habitat Features:
This state of the art habitat will be home to some very exciting new features including the opportunity to begin a breeding program in the near future! This habitat will have two large elephant houses(capable of holding up to 6 elephants), a large pool, large rock formations, shade structures, and lots of plants/trees. The habitat has also been designed to give our guests a better experience and we did this by bringing the elephant housing units below ground level. Who wants a picture with a building in the background? Wink

Animals Health:
Health will always be our top priority for these animals and all of the animals at our park. The habitat has been designed with that in mind and also some help from you at home. Most of you said that you had concerns about the noise pollution from surrounding rides and overall guest noise and we have definitely corrected all those issues in this habitat. First, our habitat will have zero-entry accessibility for our elephants. Allowing them to easily walk down or walk up from the housing area with ease. The noise pollution has also been fixed by the addition of many trees in the area and by our large rock formations. These working together will allow the noise to bounce off the habitat and not effect the housing area.

If you have any questions about the new habitat we would love to answer them! We hope you'll enjoy this new habitat as we are excited to bring it to life!

That looks really good for this early stage of progress. Smile

Is "Haraka Creek" supposed to be used as an attraction or only for a river?
Because i don't see a Entrance/Exit yet.

Some small suggestions:
- i would use more variety for the foliage. Currently it looks a bit all the same infact of smae colors.
A mix of darker greenish plants with lighter green palmtrees/trees could work a bit better.

- also for the rockwork i would choose more than only one color/texture. There are some great rock sets out there who work together very well. Against the foliage colors you can use for rockwork only dark ones if you want, but with different shades of dark colors you can bring also some kind of interesting into it.
