I've avoided custom scenery so far (usually because with games, if I start I get too far carried away) and so I've continued living off of just the simple game's content...
Anyway, I believe the generic and adventure scenery categories are both great... I'm probably leaning towards generic ranked first and adventure a close second simply because some of the adventure things are too far off from what would be realistic, so when I'm creating an adventurous area, I might have to draw upon some generic things (such as benches, trash cans, and lamps) to use because the actual adventure objects just don't fit the adventure theme I have going and what I'm aiming for.
