Yeah, you shouldn't give up that easily. But if she goes out with another guy or something, you can still just be friends. That's what I did when I found out my best friend was going out with the girl I liked.

Just hang with her and get your friends to hang with you. It's easier to make new friends when you're around people you're already comfortable with.

It really ain't that easy. A lot of my friends would do that, but I could never "hang" with her. She's in another class (same grade), and... I don't want to make her feel weird. Y'know, bein' around people you may not be to comfortable with. I'm kinda afraid of what her friends will say, too.
