RE: Kodama - SUPER MOOSE93 - Mar 16, 2014 supporting this is such a pain. i deleted all the old supports and put connectors in on the track to make it look better. some supports dont line up properly with the track or connectors and i cant get a good support layout on the sideways loop because it hangs in like with the track that leads into the cobra roll RE: Kodama - Cheleste - Mar 16, 2014 I know, custom supporting sounds easy sometimes but it isn't easy all the time ![]() I deleted most of my customs supports, too and build it new. What could be helpful is that you start up with alll the inversions, because they have an difficulty part to support and looks good in the end. After supporting all your Inversions, i think it's a little bit easier to build the other ones. I dont build the pathes first, i build/create all my pathways after i'm finished the supporting so i have more options how the pathway could be and i dont change any support that i've made before. All in all, good looking Custom Supports have an variablilty in difficulty. If you build on an Flatland or basic layout its easy. But if you have hills, rivers and other terraforming around the track and/or the layout interacts with some scenary its the opposite of easy going ![]() BtW, sometimes you can't use the CSO B&M Connectors, because some parts are not created. Your "inclined loop" i think has no B&M connectors to work proberly. I dont know if there is an v 2.0 from this set out there with all the missing parts. Hint: safe often your park after building an support part ![]() I forget this sometimes and i invest alot of time again to recreate the supports that ive already build before. Anyway, i believe that in the end your supports looking good ![]() Lg Cheleste RE: Kodama - SUPER MOOSE93 - Mar 18, 2014 finally finished. not going to lie, i have left out some stuff i said i was going to do but i am happy with the current result. i should have a video at some point this week. now, onto my next project RE: [WIP] Kodama - supports done (kinda) - SUPER MOOSE93 - Mar 22, 2014 i know i said i was done with this, but that my lazy side talking. i loaded up the save and the foliage/scenery sucked so i am going to do it all properly. i didnt like the supports either so i changed them up and now they look much better... i still dont like the sideways loop though link to pictures incase the ones posted dont work. http://imgur.com/a/4GJlI RE: [WIP] Kodama - supports done (kinda) - Cheleste - Mar 22, 2014 Much better than in the past ![]() I would change, or better delete some of the lifthill ones. Because 8 for the lifthill are too much, i would go with 4-5. The Zero-G looks good, only thing the additinal poles goes exactly in the other direcetion, also to the trainside not trackside ![]() You supported the inclined loop well ![]() The Cobra-Roll has allways an "A-Shape" to support the halfloop. Besides of that, it looks really better with the B&M Connectors and the newer support work. What did i say, you getting better automaticly with enough practice ![]() Let's go to the Foliage work, huh? With same dark-green asiastyle trees/bushes i think it become to an beauty. Lg Cheleste RE: [WIP] Kodama - supports done (kinda) - SUPER MOOSE93 - Mar 22, 2014 i want to put some asian themed stuff in there but im having a brain fart right now. cant think of a good design. still not sure on what trees to use either RE: [WIP] Kodama - supports done (kinda) - SUPER MOOSE93 - Mar 23, 2014 i deleted some of the supports on the main lift hill - http://imgur.com/BHsGnyQ switched the supports around on the zero G roll (i think that is what you meant) - http://imgur.com/YMx3TJj changed the supports on the cobra roll (looks much cleaner) - http://imgur.com/vEfPPBz RE: [WIP] Kodama - supports done (kinda) - Cheleste - Mar 23, 2014 Lifthill -> looks good, well done Zero-G -> thats what i meant, well done, too ![]() Cobra-Roll -> Silvarret's Tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvEoNtYlR-E ![]() After doing this, i think all the supports are still as good/real as possible ![]() BtW, it's nice to see that you take my criticsm on your coaster as constructive help. So thx for this ![]() Lg Cheleste RE: [WIP] Kodama - supports done (kinda) - SUPER MOOSE93 - Mar 23, 2014 thanks. i will change the cobra roll, still debating whether to change the station design to look more 'asian' than 'log cabin'. probably should RE: [WIP] Kodama - supports done (kinda) - Cobra - Mar 24, 2014 Kodama -> an treeghost in japan ![]() What i've seen it looks pretty nice. I agree with you that an more "asian" styled station would be fits better than this "log-flume"-styled one. But dont delete it, maybe you can use it as an, well "Log-Flume" Station in an future park ![]() I like the layout, the inclined loop is rarly used, after checking other ones work. So nice idea to use one. The barrell-roll (heartline-roll) interaction with the station is an nice feature for the peeps ![]() Keeping up this good work. Soo long, Cobra ![]() |
