RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 178 - Cobra - Sep 2, 2014 I do the same that i did in the past: "I take my hat off for you Silvarret!" Great work on "Railgun", i dont think you worked only 9month on this, either you start the work on it 9 month ago. But anyway, the result speaks for itself. Alot of spended time and some passion for RCT3 and design and a great creations comes out. BtW, after alot of trys you get it into build-it Well, the other three entries have potenital, but at the moment all of them looking half finished against Silvarrets "Railgun". Sorry! Really interesting what some members wrote and vote everytime in this build-it competition. What i've seen in th past alot is that NOT the "work" itself will be judged, only the person behind the creation. and if someone dont likes this person, than he/she wont vote for this creation either if this creation is the best. Pineracer you are this round one of this persons! You dont like silvarret? okay! But you should have respect for his work! Every one of the entries spend his "freetime/lifetime" to create something (good or bad doesn't matter) And sorry, but this round silvarrets "Railgun" is the best, it has absolutly everthing, maybe not the ultra realistic layout or accurate to real Intamin Blitz Designs and maybe some one dont like the colors. But the importent part is the work itself, not that silvarret done this. And the work on Railgun looks amazing. Maybe you should learn to choose your words a bit wiser. And chimaleon70005, really intersting aspect that you judge the color scheme of the entries. You know that colors are totally relatively to every person? Some one likes red, someone like blue, another one like yellow or green. Given points to the used colors are a bit pointless. The only thing is that some colors fits/works better together than others in RCT. But the like of a color is still relative. And points given for using the ingame supports? Makes no sence, because the ingame supports already there so they need no work or time, so the only option would be 0/10 points. But 1/10 and 2/10 are totally pointless, why one of these becomes two points, infact that both uses the standard ingame ones?! Sorry, but i think you should think about your judgement style. At the moment your point-system makes no sence and isn't fair enough. If i piss off someone with my opinion or post, sorry for that. But i think that a contest should be allways fair and if i don't think so, than i'll wrote my opinion about it! Keep it fair and with respectfulness! (it doesn't matter how good the entries are, everyone should become respect for the time he spend on) Soo long, Cobra RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 178 - Silvarret - Sep 2, 2014 (Sep 2, 2014, 04:23 PM)Cobra Wrote: I do the same that i did in the past: Thanks, It was definitely 9 months of on-and-off chipping away at it, which was all in all an unusual way of doing things for me since I normally like to focus and get something done quick. The fact that I could just work on this coaster whenever I wanted over an extended period of time really helped making it more fun and in general may have made it turn out better in the end since nothing was really forced to it, I just let my imagination do the job for a long period of time and leave it for a while if I didn't feel like adding anything. Also, thanks for the respectful and detailed comment, that's always great to see! Though I would say you may criticise someone's way of voting, but in the end, it's their choice. If they want to vote like that, I'd say it's the freedom of the competition, the rules don't say you have to vote for the coaster per se, and being objective is almost impossible. I don't mind that, vote for what you want to, that's part of the competition and I honestly shouldn't criticise you for that. The only thing I'd like to know is what kind of grudge that is and if you still have it, as I don't have any problems and would maybe like to sort it out. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 178 - Colts18to87td - Sep 2, 2014 Yea, this round is a pretty obvious choice. 9 months of hard work on Railgun looks like it was totally worth it. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 178 - Cheleste - Sep 3, 2014 Railgun only option here. The other three can learn from Silvarret, how it could be if they aren't lazy and use some passion for RCT3. @Silvarret: Thats right, everyone can vote free, but it should be a vote that is comprehensible! And only because he had a grude of you isnt really a reason to vote against this hard work. That shows only that "Pineracer" has no respect for your work! And what did "Cobra" wrote? Everone should become a little bit of respect for the work! @chimalion70005: (copy/paste @Vert) A judgement without any sense and knowledge of coasters and point-system that doesn't work professional. If you want to point out your opinion, than wrote that you like the colors. finish. But points for colors is pointless, the same counts for different points for the use of standart ingame orange. Makes absolutly no sense. This judgement is more choas for the new members here than helpful! Feedback can helpful and useless, helpful feedback can be positive/negative infact of what someone like/dislike. Useless feedback is something like: all is great, all is orange, or a chaos given amount of points without any sense in behind. I think this round is an perfect example how the different ways of players hit each other. Silvarret try to create realistic and lovely looking things, and the others play the game more for fun. Fun isn't bad, its importent, but pls Fun-Stuff should be only shown up in the download section, but not in an "build-it" competition! And learn to use the standard "David-Walsh" cheat for the screens, to avoid this ugly menü-bars on it. Screens are the advertising of your work, if the advertising is bad, most of the time the project is bad too. Also only one/two screens are less helpful. The screens doesn't need any professional effect that some members creates, but a bit knowledge of photoshop or other software helps alot to become better looking screens -> better looking -> more interesting -> more interesting -> maybe more votes How often was told, look first on "past build-it" winners?! How often was told, use "David Walsh" cheat for screens to avoid the menü-bars?! How often was told, use more than one/two screens for an entry?! Especially alot of screens if you dont made an POV, a POV is nice but with an good amount of screens this can be balanced. Maybe Justin should rework the rules for build-it and the desciption how it should be. Anyway, Railgun deserves the win for the hard work on it, the other three can learn from it! I'm out, Cheleste RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 178 - ff6061 - Sep 4, 2014 I didn't have any custom supports and there was a reason. wood supports don't look right in the game whether its custom or not. two the scenery I didn't do any there either I didn't want to detract from the coaster. and three I thought this was a cool design for me because it incorporates 3 different tracks into one. one station three lift hills means longer ride for guests RE: Vote for your favorite track!
