Football = kicking the ball with your feet (execpt keeper)
American Football = throwing the ball and the ball is even designed for throwing :S so no hint of 'foot' (execpt freekicks, kicking ball into other half)

American football is so much more exciting and a true spectical to watch. Plus, we don't use collapsable stadiums to host the games or allow riots to break out when our team looses.
Plus, the cheerleaders are actually pretty.
