The topic is about structures. Think we can get the topic back on track, and stop spamming the topics just to boost the post count? I would appreciate that. Because we get notices about anyone who replies to the topics, and we have to keep coming back to the forum, just to see some off topic banter. Please, Rope it in guys. If you don't have something to say about the topic, it's really best NOT to reply.

Hmmm, id have to say that my biggest building was a pyramid i made once, :lol: it took up the whole area of land, and it had a big park insidem with animals and stuff

Yes but i cant play RCT3 at the mo because my directx9 does not work

Aw, sorry to hear that. Maybe the directx file is corrupt?
I take it for granted that you tried to reinstall the game. Maybe reinstalling directX only...
Anyway...
The dome was a few days work. I didn't work it solid, all the way from the start to finish. I had to sleep too.
Once the roof started to close up, it got tougher to locate the roofing segments properly. It helped to know the height trick. (Is it Shift/raise the object, hit Control, and place the object, then when you want to place the same thing at the same height, hit Control and the object will raise to the same height?) I forget.
The dome is about 60 tiles in both directions. I never measures the height. I might do that sometime today.
How tall is a full height wall? In feet?

Oh, i had a question for Wolfman...
on part of the clip, did you make a ride,video it, then delete the ride,
and change it?
Because i only ever saw 1 ride at a time.

Yes. I wanted to show that some of the taller attractions fit inside. The only ride that doesn't fit is the Sky Coaster, or giant swing.
Tower Rides can be built taller, IF you remove the roof sections in the center of the dome. THIS is why I placed a checkerboard "target" or marker in the center of the dome's floor. So you can change the surface texture beneath it, then delete the checkerboard floor section, and still have a marking for the center of the dome.

The dome has an internal support structure of steel beams & stuff. In each of the columbs of steel lattice, you'll find a speaker, and lamp fixtures for illumination. The speakers can be programmed to play music.
There is no doorway INTO the structure. I figured that if you want a door in it, it's best to place it yourself. (Besides, you might not like where I put the door, and you'd just go nuts trying to find it, then you would have to orient/place/locate the position of the dome accordingly.) So, just place it, as it is, then create the doorway wherever you like.
