We have over 50 theme packs too plus many subthemes so believe me when I wink and say this is just the start. There is nothing more powerful then everyone coming together, bypassing a publisher and making the future happen themselves as it is here. By the way, that 450 passenger "Samuel Clemens" steam riverboat is the mid sized one. A much large paddlewheelr called the Bayou Queen is in the workings. It will feature a grand foyer, snack bars and souvenir shops restrooms each deck a dioxie band playing on the bow for guests, a theater with stage and a stage sequencer to make your own shows, lighting and sound fx, on level three a major sit-in restaurant. Attractions within attractions called "Moving Zones." This mega steamboat will be able to operate as transport on or off track, a scenic ride or even at dockside as a major area too. Below is the finalized photo of the current ride model. ![]() So it's finished right? Wrong according to coders. The ship weighs in at 3423 polys which is said to be about 1,000 polys more in the model then the coder's are happy with. That is why while the model is actually nailed, the hard and tough decisions begin to weigh in. Now as far as the boat goes, it will be flagged for about 500 peeps per ride circuit. The ride will feature moving zones, which means a small stage and theater for shows, restaurants or souvenir stalls and restrooms can be added and will work as separate attractions within the attractions. Generally when weighing a ride on its polygon count which can drop the FPS of the game and bring it to a crawl, we must weigh the model, its replication in a average park versus the amount of passengers the attraction can move per ride circuit. They are allowing for 2500 polys for this ride so yes it was done, now it needs to be done...stay tuned! Vodhin's lift Skyway system mainly animated decor in RCT3 is going to be fully functional in TPB3D and not only that, but many lift options and types including gondolas and alignment of the lift to make the ride as you want it will be available. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Your many friends, to break the corporate bonds and take the future into their hands are doing a lot to bring fun and the near future together for you. Retro Disneyland Skyway used these bucket gondolas below originally. Thanks Vodhin for all the great and very hard work. I'll be sure to use these in my online parks lateron in honor of your great work. ![]() ![]() ![]() Skyway full functionality is required if we are to get it right for you. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Unlike other corporate owned games where you might have gotten a buggy chairlift at best, in TPB3D you will not just have ski lifts and chairs, but many realistic options especially for those intending to build historical or current real life parks from their communities. ![]() RE: Theme Park Builder 3D, made by RCT Community Members- Free! - CarlosMarti123 - Jul 16, 2009 [deleted] RE: Theme Park Builder 3D, made by RCT Community Members- Free! - slickdude - Jul 18, 2009 Yes the polys on it have to come down to about 2500 for the game though it remains debatable. RE: Theme Park Builder 3D, made by RCT Community Members- Free! - CarlosMarti123 - Jul 19, 2009 [deleted] RE: Theme Park Builder 3D, made by RCT Community Members- Free! - slickdude - Jul 29, 2009 Bug riddled aggravation, but for the gotta have it try as they can crowd who loves frustration, it is working sort of. Bear in mind, no bells or whistles, no landscape yet, just a very raw alpha-2 version of the FRCS is online and can be downloaded by the public. It does have some rides in it already, but be aware it is an early alpha version and crashes. In other cases it may not install at all, but everyone wants to see something. The long awaited raw alpha-3 version would be much better to wait for and not far off. But for all the doubters who know all the neat rides we have and want to play with the actual game coding for the alpha-2 FRCS here is the link...have fun, cause the future is going to be greater than anyone ever imagined. http://sourceforge.net/projects/tpb3d/ By the way in the updated photo above, the Samuel Clemens steamship is nearly finished, check out the pics. It will move 450 to 500 passengers with ease per ride circuit. You might want to wait a bit more, but this will illustrate the coding and application are in place in their rawest forms. |
