1980. Over the years the coaster has been a victim to weathering and genral wear and tear sufferd during operation.
When the park was closed the coaster stood still unused for over 12 years.
Since the park being in new ownership the area around the coaster was fenced off untill
plans were approved. The palns have been approved for the re-construction of the coaster.
The layout will stay with the same layout but will mostly be replaced with newer, safe, more reliable and better technolagy.

Day One.
Construction has begun one the station and brake run of Splinter. The old brakes have been replaced with modern Macnetic braking systems.

Day Two.
The Main frame work for the station building has been constructed.

Day Three.
The first part of the lift hill is constructed reaching 53 Feet.

Day Four.
The lift hill continues construction and the hieght has now reached 92 Feet.

Day Six.
The lift hill has completed construction and has reached 148 Feet.

Day Eight.
The lift hill and first drop has been complete along with the second hill.

Day Ten.
The third hill and turn around has been complete. This is part of the track is the furthist part away from the station.

Day Thirteen.
The new Splinter track has been complete. Testing will take place soon.
