RE: Yeathrow Park (BIG UPDATE 7/8/06) - DrMonkey - Aug 8, 2006

Welcome to 2014, this year the park made a few changes to......well everything actually. The park decided that 2013 was the last season for the Go Karts which have been retired after many year of hard use and neglect. In late 2013 the park ripped up the track and it left a huge gap. So they had to fill it with something......I'll tell you more about that in a bit so sit back and enjoy another sucessful season at Yeathrow Park!

The new entrance to KiddieLand, which will recieve a new name for definite next season.

Graviton after being closed for two yaers nearly re opened, and this group of theme Park fans got some ERT on it. The Ride is now even better with it's new setting!

The ride after a repaint. It's previous colours were green and yellow.

The sign didn't chnage but it did get a much needed clean up!

Here's that gap being filled by a new coaster.

It's called the Twister and features a few nice hills with pleanty of air time and some excellent scenery!

RIP Go Karts. Perhpas one day you'll retunr to us in the race land?

I bet you thought that the upadte wass over today? Well I ca tell you this, the park have finally got a transport system Big enough to transport people round the park, and in style too.

It's taken 3 closed seasons and plaenty of hard woprk but we finaly have a brand new.................................Monorail. Yes I know it's not going to thrill your socks off but it just shows how much effort the management are putting into the park.

So enjoy these lovely on ride shots and an overview of the park!

It sure does especially with only 512 megabites of ram and 128 megabites on my graphics card. It only lags in "play mode" which is why I often keep it on pause. The main area for lag is the Jungle themed area as it has so many trees and lots of scenery.

Yeah, I'm quite pleased with it although it was really hard to make and I haven't started making stations yet! Remind me next time I make a park though to build the monorail or transport system first!

Any more comments and feedback would be great

This is looking great Drayton...

That's the same as what I've got on my PC. And the thing is Meteor Valley is so detalied the lag is really starting to get annoying. I'll probably upgrade to 1 or 2gig of RAM soon though... I need to find out how much it costs.

Although you say you don't use custom scenery because of the lag. I've downloaded most of the custom scenery and I haven't found too much of a lag increase. If you remember on RCT3beat when I posted the old Meteor Valley with no custom scenery it was about the same size as what I have now. And to be honest the lag difference doesn't seem incredibly different. Surely downloading a few of the essential packs like Steelworx can't hurt...
