RE: (Chima) WIP Thread: Renaissance - Intamin Accelerator - toofpikk - Oct 21, 2014 You spent a month on that? It need alot of work, the layout is very unrealistic, the buildings are extremely blocky and should have more diagonals and details, and the supports that you have done are okay but they look horrid when you dont line up the footers with the supports. RE: (Chima) WIP Thread: Renaissance - Intamin Accelerator - Pineracer - Oct 21, 2014 Add more to Renaissance, that could really deserve some flats around it and a dragon BBQ(castle theme restaurant in LEGOLAND game) I would like more medieval stuff right now because we are studying that right now in World history RE: (Chima) WIP Thread: Renaissance - Intamin Accelerator - Chimalion - Oct 21, 2014 (Oct 21, 2014, 09:52 AM)toofpikk Wrote: You spent a month on that? I think you are overreacting. I don't see how the layout is unrealistic. Maybe you should get a up close view of the buildings, because they are NOT blocky. HOW ARE THE SUPPORTS HORRID?!?! You really need a closer look at everything. You really need a closer look at everything. Yeah, I kind of see how The Burger Joint is blocky, and I'm not quite done with the supports yet. And the loop/half loop are just glitching, they fit. RE: (Chima) WIP Thread: Renaissance - Intamin Accelerator - toofpikk - Oct 22, 2014 ![]() In number 1. (both of them) the buildings are so blocky I'd think you were in minecraft. The roofs are so blocky too you need a variation with curves and colours, it just looks so ugly like they are. The station also looks hollow and so dull with the textures, and no details. You need to ad more colour, curves, and take your buildings off the grid because as they are they look like someone has got a brick and just took small chunks out of it. The supports are okay, but that isn't hard, it's literally mostly made for you. The parts you have to do though (e.g. the loop section in number 2.) are placed horribly. The footers don't line up and it just destroys any credit for the look of the other supported areas. The twisty bits in 3 are so un-necessary. Rarely do coasters have that kind of element early in the ride, and they are left towards the end. Something like a cobra roll or an immelman would fit better. RE: (Chima) WIP Thread: Renaissance - Intamin Accelerator - Blu - Oct 22, 2014 Also buildings need a lot more detail. Very bland right now. Foliage is missing. The parts you have now are boring. Try adding a variety of trees from different sets, along with some mixed terrain textures. If it was a real theme park that empty section by the overbank is a real waste of space. Maybe add some scenery or a flat ride? To go with the Renaissance theme, add some interactive scenery bits. Maybe the ride goes through a collapsed building, a section with some pillars and paintings along the walls. It's sort of hard to build, but really improves the ride. Lastly, if it's a Renaissance theme, purple and blue are terrible colors. Try something that blends in a bit more. Can someone just say something NICE??? P.S. I'm not done yet! Gosh.... don't have to be so mean and think that I'm done! I have to agree with the buildings, they could use some work. I think the colors of the coaster are fine, but I think another loop after the overbank would work better than the twisty section. like toofpik said, add a twisty section at the end of the ride RE: (Chima) WIP Thread: Renaissance - Intamin Accelerator - Kaptain2745 - Oct 23, 2014 Hi Chima - Drew is right, much of the commentary is constructive. Although, some of it is a bit too personal for my liking. Overall, I think this is a great start; there is a lot of good work here. And you know what, if you don't like what someone says about your work, you don't have to listen to them, or take them seriously. You can just keep doing the good work that you obviously are capable of doing. Frankly, I am amazed at the work you can do, given you are only 11, and I am sure in school full time. Keep it up, but again, remember if you start a post asking folks to look at what you have done and let you know their thoughts, some of those thoughts may not be positive ![]() |
