SNOW! - Justin - Nov 17, 2005

Anyone else have any snow yet? Today, from like 7:50am to around 9:30am, it was snowing like crazy! But then, the sun came out, and melted most of it...

So, has it snowed anywhere else for anyone else? Biggrin

We got a ton of snow last night now all the streets and houses have a layer of snow on top. There were about 6 accidents just in the morning, one women was hit by a car and is in critial condition and a tractor trailer went into a ditch

It has been snowing both yesterday and today, but not much - the grass can still be seen sticking up out of the snow.

With snow comes a great rule at my school:

"Snow on the ground is pretty. Snow being thrown is detention." Wink

RE: SNOW! - jordanwb - Nov 25, 2005

That's so dumb everyone in every school hates that rule no matter what. Ice is frozen water that when in contact with skin will melt and turn to harmless water.

Just watch out for some yellow snow. :P

We have snow now that actually covers up the tops of the grass! We were going to have a "Heavy Snow Emergency" (well, actually, we had one), but that was cancelled, and we didn't get all of the snow they expected. Oh well, at least it snowed more! Biggrin

It never snows where i live, but if you haven't noticed, this thread hasn't been touched in years... no one will probably reply back.

It was snowing here yesterday, and we got a good amount of snow last Wednesday (which is still on the ground because of the cold temperatures we've had for the past week).

In Northern Virginia the snowing cycle goes like this........

It starts to snow a little
Then it starts snowing a little faster
Then we see big snowflakes landing on the ground
The sun shows up
And the snow melts

I'm only like two hours away from Philadelphia and there's supposed to be flurries tonight and snow on Tuesday and Wednesday. Angry

In most of California the snow cycle is this:

A quarter of an inch of cold rain falls
It doesnt snow
Another half inch falls around chirstmas
It doesnt snow
Another 2 inches of rain fall and cause landslides on all the hills that were burned up last fall
It dont snow
Big winter storms come after new years with 60mph winds and skull busting downpours
Nope, it doesnt snow
The temperature drops way below, freezing up water pipes and killing all the avocado tress, but it still doesn't snow (on the coast, were not really prepared for that)
A huge hailstorm pounds all of california. Unfortunately, the hailstones melt 10 seconds after they hit the ground, the schools stay open and it doesn't snow.
