First post, wondering if this might be an existing mod - OmniPotent42 - Jul 28, 2013

Hi I was wondering if there are any mods/packs that override the fact that you can't put walls on pathway edges? This is by far the most annoying aspect of creating scenery for me. I would also be interested in mods that lower height restrictions for roof tiles

M Brookes It's a cheat code that is activated by renaming a peep. Unfortunately, this still has it's limits. I have noticed that most of the custom scenery packs I've downloaded allow for the walls and fences to be placed anywhere. I hope this helps! Smile

THANK YOU!

I knew the cheats like James Hunt and the other ones but never knew this one. THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!!!!

EDIT: I've been messing with it more and it doesn't work on bridge pathways or queue lines. Any way around this one?

There are a lot of options to choose from for queue lines so it doesn't bug me.

So what counts as a flat ride? Like a merry-go-round? And then I save the roofs as scenery, reload it where I want it, and when I put another ride under that, the intersection issues will go away?

Also, do you know any way around the queue line wall issue?

You have to make sure that the blue square (the one that is used for placement help) is facing away from the queue line when placing scenery. That normally works for me.

Also, "Flat rides" are the non coasters and non track rides (normally). In this game, however, I've noticed that many of the towers (observation, freefall, rotodrop, etc.) are considered "Flat rides."

As for the intersection issue, press the shift key and drag the object up to the desired height (while still holding the shift key).

Hope this helps! Sorry, not that great at explaining things without a visual for this game!

Sparkler is right when he says what rides fit into the description of a “flat ride” in RCT3.

The launched free fall is the best flat ride to use as it will go the highest without the John Wardley cheat being needed. You got it right up until the point you said you’d save the roofs as scenery with the ride and then reload the roofs where you want them. That part is right.

After you’ve reloaded your roofs where you want them no additional ride is necessary to get your scenery to work because your roofs will be where you want them and they will be where you’ve put them which is why you saved them with a ride.

The great thing about this method is that once the scenery is saved with the ride there are no longer any intersection issues. You can place that piece of scenery anywhere you want – smack on a path, underwater in a swimming pool, inside a stall, wherever – without any intersection issues.

This means this method is also great to get around your queue wall issues. You can place your queue walls exactly where you want them without any placement issues just like you reloaded your roofs where you wanted them.

Thanks you guys! I had no idea that trick existed!

1. I'm a girl...lol That's funny, never been called a guy before!
2. You can save flat rides with scenery too?
