Custom Scenery Creation Issues - neontrix - Aug 21, 2013 Hey! This is my first time I've tried creating Custom scenery. I created the mesh in sketchup, managed to texture it with the billboard and everything but I have a problem in-game, and I don't know how to solve it It looks fine from the front... But from the back, it's all transparent and doesn't work... Does anyone know what causes this problem? Or how to fix it? Any help is much appriciated RE: Custom Scenery Creation Issues - Blu - Aug 21, 2013 In 3D modeling, all faces have a visible side and a transparent side. Obviously you can't see the back because it is facing the wrong way (no pun intended). In sketchup, right click on the face and click reverse (something to that effect, I haven't done this in a while). If you remove the texture, you can see that the visible faces are a lighter shade of grey than the invisible ones. RE: Custom Scenery Creation Issues - neontrix - Aug 22, 2013 Ah, that makes sense! I always wondered what those different colours meant. Clearly new to this Thanks very much for the help! |
