Riverside Resort - Kathy - Aug 28, 2013 Well I started a thread about this park on another forum, and I've made about 4 posts there already so I'll just copy them here so I can get feedback and new ideas. --- So this is a park I started a couple of days ago when I wanted to get back into the game, and I'll probably put pictures up of my older rides sooner or later. This is a picture of the park entrance, showing the information booth; Walking down the first path, we have a nice sitting area with a map of the park; There's currently only one area in the park, which is an area made for kids, which includes a teacups ride, a slide, a small indoor pool with one slide, alongside a mini junior coaster; The slide, with the lake beside it, with the small indoor pool showing in the background; A nice view of the small lake; A better picture of the indoor pool and slide; The teacups ride; The entrance of 'Mini Monster' the small Junior Coaster; An aerial shot of 'Mini Monster'; And that's it for today, seeing as the park is small, I'll visit when there's construction on new parts of the park. RE: Riverside Resort - Kathy - Aug 28, 2013 I spy a new path; I wonder what they could be planning? --- I spy an Ice Cream shop; What do you think they could be planning for down this path? -------------- Hey guys, was on park today to see that they'd upgraded the information booth in the park entrance plaza. I hear they've hired an artist to get some lovely artwork for the billboards, which should be up shortly; Today was Hurricane, the TopSpin's opening day, so I got a nice shot of it; I wondered what these hills could be for? Looks like it might be the future site of a new rollercoaster; I asked staff around the park, seeing if they'd reveal any information but they didn't. So I went up with my dad in his helicopter to get a look, and I see a crater within the hills; ----- So today I took a visit to the park, and the childrens area seemed pretty crowded; Especially around the food stalls; The lake looks really nice today; --- Also, rumours from the park say that the new coaster involving the huge mountain is going to be some form of flying coaster. Accepting all constructive criticism. I can't make my own custom supports to save my life, I tried and they failed, badly lol. RE: Riverside Resort - Kathy - Aug 28, 2013 Long Update Well a lot has happened while I've been on holiday, so I took my camera to the park today to get some shots of the new rides and areas. Quote:We have withdrawn the plans to build a coaster around the crater as we don't have enough money for the themeing which we planned. Rumour has it there'll be some launched freefall coming out of the crater instead, but who knows if that's true or not? What a shame, was looking forward to the flying coaster... Anyhow, I was walking towards Hurricane to see that the path had extended with some buildings; I spy a Motion Simulator; This new fountain looks very nice; I spy new paths...; Walking down I see a new ride entrance; So I walked into the queue, and it was pretty busy; Finally after queueing, I took a spot in the front row; Such a great view from the top, I also spy a Chairswing!; The new droptower gives you an amazing view of Medusa; Exploring the new paths; And finally a nice shot of the new Chairswing ride; RE: Riverside Resort - Kathy - Aug 28, 2013 So today I went on the drop tower, to see a lake behind the Chairswing ride; I wonder what they could be planning, a log flume, a coaster? Post ideas below. RE: Riverside Resort - Silvarret - Aug 28, 2013 Nice park! But because it lacks one, I think they are planning on building a log flume. RE: Riverside Resort - Kathy - Aug 28, 2013 Well looks like they've been working very hard, the outline of the Gigacoaster (from what I can see through the trees) is up already! This is a shot I took before going on the Chairswing... I guess I'd better take a look by riding the drop tower later, to see if anymore progress has been made... RE: Riverside Resort - Kathy - Aug 28, 2013 Quote:Roller Coaster: No-name Riverside Resort are opening a competition for name suggestions for the new ride, the colour scheme is red, to help people think of a name. The winner wins 2 for 1 entry tickets to the resort, so get guessing! RE: Riverside Resort - nathan8848 - Aug 28, 2013 The name depends on what the design looks like. Wouldn't mind Fireball. RE: Riverside Resort - Kathy - Aug 31, 2013 So today, was Momentum, the Giga Coasters opening day. It was rather busy. Better get straight to the ride! This fountain looks rather nice; I'm surprised the queue isn't that long yet, well the park's only been open 15 mins I'm ready, front row seat! I think this seating area inside the rides first turn is great; Oh and this shot from the drop tower really shows off the ride; That's it for today, but there's also 2 flat rides in Momentums area, a giant ferris wheel and a roundup ride.
