No worries! RCT3 does record at 1-2 fps. I'm not sure as to why exactly, maybe it has something to do with the quality RCT3 records in, which, might I add, is pretty high. If you want the upper end of the spectrum you can change the graphics settings to low and speed it up to maybe 3 fps, but I recommend recording everything with maximum LODs and distance. You may get a slower frame rate, but if you are using RCT3 itself to record, then you are clearly not in a hurry! Besides, we're talking a difference of two frames a second. That's pretty minute in the grand scheme of things.

Now again as to why it does this, I don't know, but maybe someone will see this post and provide us both with an answer.

Honestly when I recorded my first video I went and did some research. I thought the same as you did, that my gc had gone bad, or wasn't good. Then I read the specs on the box. That, with the combined research I did, confirmed it was simply the game itself. To this day, I get mad whenever I record something in RCT3, and I doubt it will ever change. On another note, glad I could be of service. Smile

The plus side about recording so slowly is that it lets you catch errors in construction that you normally wouldn't see if traveling at high speeds.

This is true, and a very good point. Unfortunately, however, if you see one, then you should go correct it, and then you are forced to sit there and rerecord it. I must say though, slow frame rates do have advantages...

I'm glad I already knew this before recording for the first time. I don't record anything unless I'm ready to leave the computer and do something else while its recording. RCT3 and videos either recording or showing on billboards don't seem to mix well.

I haven't actually tried this but supposedly the recording goes faster if the game is switched to a lower resolution.

this is very true @Frankedj after watching my slow recording back I notice a few mistakes of my recreation of magnum force rollercoaster that was at flamingo land so I have now corrected the mistakes it was mainly the custom made supports some were slightly off mark not quite under the tracks LOL however they are now Biggrin
