Using a dowloaded track - Rollercoaster-Fan - Oct 8, 2013

How can I use a downloaded track in rct3?

I save all the downloaded tracks in documents/rct3/coasters, but if I open the file in the game, there stands something like that the file is empty. (and all the facts of the coaster are "???")

If the downloaded trk file is made from a CTR(Custom Track Ride) you must know the name of the CTR, download it and install it before you can use a coaster made from a CTR.

What download track is it? Post a link to it.

This one: http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/9000

but there doesn't stand anything of ctr or cso. I have the same problem with other coasters.

The trk file does work but that coaster is built without the thrill lift/tilt section. It uses a lift hill instead and is more like a small corkscrew coaster.

If you still want to get that one to work you should close the program, delete the trk file, download it again and re-install it. Make sure you don't have the trk file inside of any other folder in the My Documents\RCT3\Coasters folder. There shouldn't be any folders in that Coasters folder. Only trk files.

This is a screenshot of that download. [Image: notatilt.jpg]

Ok. Thanks for helping, but it even does not work after re-downloading and saving the trk-file.

There might be an issue with the game installation in regards to the actual track pieces and/or cars for the tilt coaster.

Have you tried building a tilt coaster from scratch or using the in-game ready-made coaster?

I have tried both scratch and ready-made tilt coasters. But the installations of the last two updates have failed.
