Tourist Problems - Rct31337 - Aug 2, 2009

Does anybody here have problems with tourists? I do. All the time. (By the way, I'm venting with this thread(Sorry if I spell stuff wrong. I'm really mad right now.))

Picture this:

Hawaii. Great weather, Amazing food, and Beautiful beaches; accompanied by the not-so-beautiful tourists.

THEY ARE RUINING US!!!!Angry(Us meaning in Hawaii)

Hawaii has some of the best food in the world. But, no tourists appreciates our culinary innovations.

I was eating at a restraunt one night and I overheard some tourist family criticizing the food. "The teriyaki chicken is ok. The chicken is good but I don't like the teriyaki sauce."

HOW STUPID CAN THESE TOURISTS GET!?!?!?!?!

If you wan't to go to the beach, you have to find a discreet, unknown to tourists beach. If you went to one of the beaches in Waikiki, you will be blinded. The beach is 10 times brigter than the sun thanks to the tourists!!!

The toursts don't even understand what we say. (The japanese tourists have an excuse here) I can try to talk to one of the tourists and they get so confused! I can tell the same thing to any local and there's no problem! If any of you guys want to go to Hawaii, learn to speak "local". It isn't hard. It's english with a different accent.

What makes things worse is the fact that we make most of our money from tourism! We are dependent on the very people that ruin our home!

What do you guys think?

Ugh Yeah, I agree with you! One time when I was at Bush Gardens (there's only 2 in the whole U.S so it's SUPER CROWDED in the one in Virginia) I was having a good time until some random idiots decided to start smoking EVEN THOUGH IT WAS PROHIBITED! There were a lot of smokers and I had to hold my breathe to not breath in the smoke. Then an employee came asked NICELY to the people who were smoking to please leave the park, and guess what they did, they pushed him to the ground and started hitting and punching him! I'm like WTH??? During that, my entire Bush Gardens day was ruined thanks to those idiots. Ugh, security came and had to drag those people out and they eventually had to close the park.

This ones even worse even though it's short. It might not have to do with tourists but still...

One day when I was coming back on a trip to Virginia, I was entering the place where there was a sign saying "?Welcome To Virgnia!". It was surrounded by our state flowers. So when I finally got to see the sign, It was covered in GRAFFITI! It was covered all over it! On top of that, almost all of the flowers surrounding were torn out of the ground leaving dirt all over the place. Ugh, that ruined my whole day too coming back to my home. I wish people like that would caught and be banned from entering the state.

Hawaii is famous for it's beauty (says the tourist). We never get tourists in ohio. Nothing bad ever happens in ohio... but your right! I agree with everything in that long post!

You are going to scare the tourists off with your hate! I guess I wont go to Hawaii for your sake.

I somewhat agree with you but seriosuly, they shouldnt bother you that much. I liveat a nice place on the coast and every summer tourists from LA come and crowd up the place but with this economy there hasn't been as many. The only thing that remotely gets to me is when they tear up the boardwalks and graffiti overpasses and bike trails. There are tons of undiscovered places around me which tourists wouldn't even dream about.

Graffitti? Wow, tourists that vandilize. I'd think they would have respect for that place and the people living there, but of course, they might be... teens...

Don't really get too many tourists here in Central Ohio. But you can always tell someone is from out of town when they try to turn right onto Trueman Boulevard when going west on Davidson Road:

And trust me... I've seen people do it before!

RE: Tourist Problems - SuperGoldChicken - Aug 3, 2009

Haha! That's Sweet, funny, and pretty stupid of the tourists. Is that google earth? That looks sorta fake.

RE: Tourist Problems - Justin - Aug 3, 2009

Nope, it's Bing Maps, using the bird's eye view.

RE: Tourist Problems - SonicTheSilverHedgehog - Aug 3, 2009

Did people like...... get hurt.... when they drove into that area by mistake? Confused

RE: Tourist Problems - Justin - Aug 3, 2009

No, they realize their mistake when they get up to the intersection and start turning.
