REPLACE ORIGINAL SUPPORTS - It's WORTH it ! - Rollercoaster-Fan - Feb 24, 2014 Hi all For all the one's who didn't know yet: You can replace rct3 original structures, paths, supports (wooden, steel) with so-called "Miscellaneous material". "Miscellaneous material" is different to custom scenery. It needs a special but easy installation (instructions can be find in the readme of a misc set). The following sets replace the bad original wooden / steel supports with much more realistic looking supports: _ http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist/index.php?item=1810 _ http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist/index.php?item=1811 Best greetz Rollercoaster-Fan RE: REPLACE ORIGINAL SUPPORTS - It's WORTH it ! - Cheleste - Feb 24, 2014 Well, for lazy guys this could be maybe an option ![]() But for real RCT3 Coasterer its much better to use CSO's like "Moby's Steel Jungle". This way tooks more spend of time but in the end the result is better than every change of the original RCT3-Files could do ![]() If this work with RCT1, than i think i would use it, because RCT1 has no CSOs to make custom supports, and in this case this were an option to have a little bit better looking supports there ![]() Nevertheless, thanks for this info about this. Lg Cheleste RE: REPLACE ORIGINAL SUPPORTS - It's WORTH it ! - Rollercoaster-Fan - Feb 24, 2014 Yeahh, the steel replacer set is for the lazy guys. But the wooden replacement set contains the base supports which can be added with bigburgers timber or similar cs sets. Other replacement sets (like asphalt queue path, make it a lot easier (just need to change the folder/files)) and you can place them as the original things. Nearly a year ago I downloaded the wooden support and steel support replacements in addition to the B&M rides texture replacement. Just imagine, after install to get woodies that again look like they did in RCT2 – with supports that actually look white when painted white! And specular highlights on B&M track with colorability more in keeping with RCT2. I was thrilled to have them and they will remain with my game always. These downloads are much better to add a bit more on to with J-Cat’s, BigBurger’s and Moby’s stuff, which they resemble much more closely. I still don’t know what they were thinking at Atari when they came up with those original supports. |
