I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - sommerman1 - Mar 26, 2014 I have been trying to download custom scenery to my disk version of RCT3 and have watched about 10 videos on youtube. every time i download it, the game crashes and gives me the error No: SVD or something like that. please help. I'm 15, almost 16, I really need help with this. If it is easier for you to text me about this problem, my number is [snip] THANKS! RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - DorneyPark5 - Mar 26, 2014 what's the cs set? RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - SUPER MOOSE93 - Mar 27, 2014 could be a faulty set. try downloading a different set and see if it still gives the error. could be that it isnt made for mac, some CS sets have 2 downloads, one for mac and one for windows RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - Ardy - Mar 27, 2014 Remove all README or txt. documents. There is also a problem with too many folders. Instead of "Themed\Folder 1\Folder 2\CS Files", copy folder 2 and paste it in themed and delete folder 1. RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - sommerman1 - Mar 27, 2014 This is what I did: ( nothing has worked so far) I went to this website, went to downloads, custom scenery, clicked on ardys wooden stations, clicked download. I then went to the downloads folder on my mac, dragged the AWS folder to the desktop, opened the andys wooden stations folder, moved the txt and READ ME to the trash, then proceeded to move the folder onto rct3, style, themed, and then dropped it there. i opened the game and it was there. i hovered the mouse over it and the game crashed and gave me the error: No :svd for :sid please help me fix this because i believe i am almost there! thank you for your patience. I also tried Jcats steelwork and the game crashed with the same warning/ response. the icons and pictures are there, its just that the game crashes RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - Cheleste - Mar 27, 2014 Sounds like you have "one" folder to much in each other for me. Everytime you download an CSO, check after unzip the folders twice! As an example "Ardy's Wooden Stations" should be the folder in your style/themed directory, NOT the "AWS" one with Ardy's Wooden Stations in it! If you open it up, there should be two "ovl"-files and one other folder. Is this the case, then no svd error should be appear in the game. Hope this helps. Lg Cheleste RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - sommerman1 - Mar 27, 2014 Thank you, this did work. only this time, there were two versions of The wooden stations in the actual game. one of them crashed the game. So i tried another type of custom scenery. it was on this website. it was called something like coaster goodies. I downloaded it, put it in the right folders, opened it up and it was there. But it still gave me the No :svd for :sid and crashed the game. thank you all for your assistance. If someone knows why this happens and how to prevent it, that would be great! RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - Cheleste - Mar 27, 2014 Yeah, i know this problem with "double"-CSOs. I delete "all" cso files in the "style/themed" folder and start rct3 without it. After this i run rct3 without CSO's, so all "double" shown cso were gone. After this i add all cso's back and no "double" cso's were there Good option/way are, add only one CSO per time! Add one CSO-Set, check it out if it works without errors. If no errors/crashed, good. If not, delete the CSO and try again. It's normal that from time to time cso's getting vault by download-/unzip-/useing. If an CSO doesn't work from an specific website, try an download from another site. Can you explain what i have to do to fix this. I don't quite understand the whole ~double file thin thanks, a coaster nerd RE: I am begging for help on this mac version of rct3! - Cheleste - Mar 27, 2014 To eliminate this "double cso thing" the only tip i can give is this: Step-1: delete "ALL" CSO's in your style/themed folder Step-2: start RCT3 and look if any cso's (double ones) are still there (normaly that should be possible) Step-3: add the CSO that crashes in the past RCT3 to the style/themed folder (before you start RCT3 again, be sure to check the CSO-File -> two "ovl" & one folder should be in it) Step-4: start RCT3 with only this "CSO" and check out if it works propably -> 2 options: 1: it works, everything is good 2: rct3 crashes again with an "no svd" error or the cso is shown twice -> check again the CSO-File if only this "ovl"-files & cso-file in there Step-5: try to re-download the CSO from the same/or another website (sometimes CSO's gets vault by download, this happend randomly. So the cso what crashed your game could be run without any errors on my rct3) Hope this can help you Lg Cheleste |
