I thought there was a cheat that would increase the brake speed of a coaster. The David Braben cheat only works for chain lifts and Launch sections. Is there a cheat to increase the brake the speed?

Luckily I found a way for the ride to work. So I should be fine.

i presume you want to launch something, if so, why not just use the chain lift cheat and use a chain to launch the coaster?
how do you get cheats to work too? i cant get them to work on my version of rct3

The ride option doesn't contain a chain lift. I am using the Hershey Stormrunner where the ride launches out of the station, and I wanted it to slowly move at the beginning, then accelerate really quickly towards the middle of the ride.
You simply name a peep while the game is in progress and it should work then.

I have played RCT3 on XP and on Vista, from Platinum and Vanilla/Soaked!/Wild. My experience tells me that not every cheat works with every release in every installation on every platform. However, everybody should be able to get some of the cheats to work.
I would have suggested you check the spelling of the cheats you tried but it’s not possible you would have spelled incorrectly all the cheats you’ve tried. Probably you’re one of the unlucky few that are using a release/installation/platform combination that’s just not all that compatible with cheats. Have you tried every cheat to see if any of them will work for you?
There was a member some time ago who said the Jonny Watts cheat wouldn’t work but he figured out later he was spelling it Johnny so be sure of your spelling. Upper and lower case doesn’t matter. Also one can only re-name a guest with a cheat. It’s possible to scroll back and forth to POV a staff member but one can’t directly re-name a staff member for POV.
