RCT2 guests question - chansen311 - Jun 25, 2014

Is there a way to make guests more brave on RCT2? I make rides that really aren't that intense and all of the guests ignore the rides. Is there some sort of option I can chose or do I need to download some sort of mod? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You can build a gentle ride right next to the coaster to make guests more brave.

Yeah building gentle rides right near some of the more intense rides does help, but you can also go into scenario editor and check the box on the objectives page that says: "Guests prefer more intense rides". Only downside to this though is that the guests will not want to ride your gentle rides.

How intense are your coasters? Usually they only get ignored completely if the intensity is in red. If that's the case, the excitement rating is probably not very high, and thus you're better off building a coaster with a lower intensity and a higher excitement rating.

The most useful bit of information I've discovered from RCT2 is that the price of a ride can always go as high as the excitement rating. If you have a coaster with an excitement rating of 7.80, for example, you can charge $7.80 and guests will always pay it. That's why the most exciting coasters always make the most money. The very intense ones with excitement ratings between 1 and 4 are generally not good investments.

Hmm I'll try some of these out. - chansen311 - Jun 25, 2014

I did have an exceptionally high intensity rating but maybe a lesser excitement rating. I'll try out all of your suggestions. Thanks!
