Has this ever happened to your school? - Fireball - Feb 25, 2010 Okay, so I was at school, just working on Science, and the whole school hears on the intercom that starting March 8th - April 28th, we have to make up snow days by adding 30 minutes to every school day during March 8th - April 6th. We were all like What the crap?! We all had theories that we should just put those 2 days into our spring break because we wouldn't care about that. RE: Has this ever happened to your school? - SonicTheSilverHedgehog - Feb 25, 2010 My school is deciding whether to add 30 minutes at the end of every school day for the rest of the year or add 4 extra days of make-up school days, leading into July, since we missed a week and 2 days of school because of the snow. RE: Has this ever happened to your school? - TC8950 - Feb 25, 2010 erm I dont have to do any of that. :P I get out in May!!! RE: Has this ever happened to your school? - Fireball - Mar 7, 2010 I updated the first post. It's March 8th - April 28th. It won't affect my spring break or the TCAP testing. In Tennessee, they have a test called TCAP because: 1) It proves a lot about if you should be advanced to the next grade up 2) If all of your TCAP scores are advanced, you can be put in a lottery drawing to go to a magnet school. If your number gets drawn, you get 5th-12th grade all for free Here's what TCAP stands for - T - Tennessee C - Comprehensive A - Academic P - Pretest The only reason it's a pretest is because it prepares you for ACT, SAT, etc. |
