The West Virginian Hills of Thrills - sixflagsgr8 - Aug 4, 2014

My fellow RCTers I now present my newest park creation to you: The West Virginian Hills of Thrills

Themed to West Virginia in the early 1900's, The West Virginian Hills of Thrills, or often shorted to Hills of Thrills, is home to 14 thrilling rides, 6 heart pounding coasters, 1 large theater and countless shops, all of which are themed to many of WV's industries of that time.

At the signature ride of the park is the near 400ft observation tower, which towers over the mountains to give riders glorious views of the many acres of thrills and scenery.

The first area is themed after a logging camp, this section of the park features 3 of the coasters. The red one is Forest Flames.

Traveling up the river, the logging operation comes into full swing. Both of the coasters here are themed to certain jobs required in logging. There also is a log flume and other flat rides.

The next area is the small town of Appalachia, which is home to many flats, such as tea cups, bumper cars and more. The parks theater is also here. The town has many shops and stalls for park goers to stop at while here.

Heading downhill from Appalachia comes the coal mine with an underground coaster, Coal Carver.

The next section is themed towards the hunting realm of the hills. Here guests can buy skins or eat what ever was caught that day. There are also many rides in this part of the park.

The parks largest coaster is featured in this area, The Great White Hunter. This hyper coaster hurls riders down its 260 FT drop into a deep tunnel at 87 MPH. The coaster hugs the mountain for over 3 1/2 minutes with over 7,000 FT of track.

The park is just going through a few more minor adjustments until it opens to the public, however, POVs of the coasters will be released before the opening.
