Caprica--CT Wooden Coaster - iC1 - Oct 27, 2014

Hello everyone! I've been working on this for about a week or two, and this weekend managed to finish the supporting in one big session. I'm not sure about what the theme will be yet, and I also still need to do some terraforming. Caprica is a temporary name (watching Battlestar Galactica right now) and is in no way representative of the theme (do people even make sci-fi woodies?).

Hopefully I can update this thread again soon, but with school getting more busy I can't guarantee anything.

Here are the pictures.

very nice. woodies are usually in a forest or have that kind of themeing... i know its generic and boring but thats reality. i dont see why you couldnt do a sci-fi themed woodie though.

also, i wouldnt have supported the whole thing before terraforming, if you want to do something near the supports, it will probably mess them up

So I'm back with the first update. Work is going a little slowly right now (I hate buildings) but progress is being made. I thought I'd show you what I have so far, this time with much more to constructively criticize. I'll start this update with the little village area leading towards the station.

These buildings are a in my opinion a little blocky, so I'd like to hear what guys would suggest to make them look nicer.

This is the station. I tried to keep it pretty simple and functional. I still need to add queue lines.

Finally, the intended terraforming became a large ridge made of large rocks. I'm not sure if I want to keep this or not, so it would be great to hear your suggestions on the topic.

That's all for this update. Any comments and/or constructive criticism is appreciated!

Ok only a few things.
1. This is mostly personal opinion but i dont really like the gray color or the main path with the brown borders. Just personal opinion so you can choose to ignore.
2. The station is a bit bland, try adding some different angles in to roof or try to make the base a bit less square.
3. You should add a bit more shape to the ridge, instead of it being one big flat (slightly curved) wall, add a few small extensions of rocks out from the main wall, or maybe scatter a few rocks here and there near it.
I understand this is still very much a WIP so these are just a few ideas to help you along Smile
