The Big Question RCT1, RCT2, or RCT3 - Bribaryan - Dec 23, 2014
I'm really torn because I love each of these games for different reasons.
I've gotten countless hours out of each game, it's my favorite Sim by far.
RCT was first so its freshness worked for it. RCT2 improved and brought a lot to the series. RCT3 had great graphics and customization, but it did feel rushed in some areas.
Which of these is the best in your opinion, and feel free to post why you feel so under here.

RCT3 Platinum version. I haven't worked with RCT1 or RCT2. But I like the style of RCT3 Platinum better.

Having ran all 3 versions, I prefer RCT 2. It was an improvement over RCT 1 in ways that were beneficial to park building but still kept the same basic game play.
RCT 3 was a major improvement in the graphics arena but game play was dumbed down a bit too much for my tastes.
I prefer most of the older game over the newest version simply because, while the graphics are better in most cases, the game play isn't what it once was, and that's pretty typical for all games.

I'm considering going back to 2, seems like managing the park in the first 2 might have been more enjoyable for me. I like 3 for the on-ride cam and graphics though.
Problem with backtracking on games, is you sometimes run into things that were improved in the later version that cause a headache.

I went RCT2, I know RCT3 is more complex, with better scenery, graphics, water slides, fireworks, land forming, coaster cam, etc.
However, RCT2 does have small benefits over RCT3 that does make it such a great game, these include:
1. simpler graphics
2. peeps will go to the back of the park
3. a haunted house
4. being able to change colours of a single car (especially for go karts)
5. better tunnels
6. no complicated cs
7. doesnt crash often
8.those square supports in the scenery section
and last but the opposite of least
9. barely any lag
