Help REQ With Two Problems - jedimojo - Mar 20, 2015
Hello All-
I loved RCT3 Plat! And wow, all the fantastic creations Im seeing on here, load of awesome.
Im not all the technical, so if you have some help to offer (which I appreciate), please keep that in mind. I mean, like, I know how to use my trackpad! LOL
My System
I created stuff on RTC3 on my iMac 2012 with no issues, very casual back then. Im on a 2013 MacAir which is not nearly as strong, from a graphics card standpoint. The game runs fine, no big issues other than the ones I'll note in second.
The Two Issues
#1- I did have this issue on my iMac too, before I sold it. I can't seem to get most mods to work. Am I to assume that all mods get dropped into the styles>Themes folder? They show up when I reboot, but either (a) when I used them I crash, losing even some saved sandbox progress or (b) I can't use the item at all. Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.
#2- When I use the coaster cam on a ride during the day, the water and everything looks fine. When I use the coaster cam at night, all water elements go white, no water or detail- just white space wherever water would be. Thoughts? Any help would be appreciated.

On the Mods problem, that used to happen to me. Here is what I did. Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Atari\ and change the RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum folder to just RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. That helps, I don't know why, it just does.

I'm running on windows 8.1 while playing RCT3. I know there are many youtube videos with mac help if you are able to watch them. I'll provide you a general link so you can browse through them.

Thanks, I'll check those out. Hopefully, I can find the solution. I changed the name of the app, removing the "Plat" piece and no problems so far. The white instead of water still happening, though, when using the coaster cam at night
