Opinions on My New Park. - Tammy2000 - May 12, 2015 Just a quick post here, could I please have some feedback on my new park? As you can see, it's still in it's beginnings, I'd like to build a real cool park this time, I thought here would be the best place to ask for opinions and what I should so next - Thanks ![]() RE: Opinions on My New Park. - Cobra - May 12, 2015 Well, if we could see some screenshots about your work and the current status of the park, we could give you feedback about it. Otherwise, no screens -> nothing there for feedback ![]() You can upload your screens here in this thread on RCTgo: Upload your screenshots or you can use photo sites like "imgur" and use the links from there to insert your photos into your threads. And don't forget to use the "David Walsh" cheat ingame before taking screenshots to get rid off the whole interface. ![]() So long, Cobra RE: Opinions on My New Park. - Tammy2000 - May 12, 2015 Woah! Sorry, Cobra, I was in a huge rush this morning... Looks like I forgot to add those! ![]() Time wasn't something I had, so using the cheat engines to clear the GUI was not an option, I hope this doesn't cause huge issues... The purple track you see is for model purposes only, if you live in the U.K. and have ever been to Alton Towers Theme Park, In the entrance there is a similar model, you'd understand what I was referring to ![]() (I've included an image of this just in case you get confused about my reference.) Note that this isn't intended to be an identical replica ![]() Alton Towers image... http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/coasterpedia/images/b/b7/CorkscrewAltonTowers1.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120316195755 Roller Coaster Tycoon park... http://imgur.com/a/EVZ0E RE: Opinions on My New Park. - aecrouch2016 - May 12, 2015 (May 12, 2015, 03:46 AM)Cobra Wrote: Well, if we could see some screenshots about your work and the current status of the park, we could give you feedback about it. Cobra, I've been looking for that link for "imgur" so thanks. Easier to use then photobucket. So now I'm using that instead. Tammy, I looked at your work and it's a good start. I also like how you incorporated the use of heatherg23 Colonial Club House (No CS) http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/13205 aecrouch7413 RE: Opinions on My New Park. - Tammy2000 - May 12, 2015 (May 12, 2015, 01:48 PM)aecrouch7413 Wrote:(May 12, 2015, 03:46 AM)Cobra Wrote: Well, if we could see some screenshots about your work and the current status of the park, we could give you feedback about it. Yes, indeed I have used heatherg23's work, when the final build is ready, I plan on giving credit to all creators of CS and structures, only for now, the only items I've used that aren't mine are heatherg23's Colonial Club House and JCat's Steelworkx ![]() (Heatherg23, if you happen to be reading this thread, don't worry, your structure is great and I will most certainly be giving you credit.) Thanks for the feedback, aecrouch7413 :-) Any suggestions on what to do next? I always get stuck on this part :/ RE: Opinions on My New Park. - aecrouch2016 - May 12, 2015 Tammy, I put the link there in case someone else wanted to use the building that heatherg23 made that's all ![]() ![]() I have a hard time finishing my parks cause I get stuck as well. Sometimes I have to put it away for a little bit and then go back to it. I'd wait for Cobra's feedback again, because he always helps me with inspiration with his thoughts. I also watch many tutorials on YouTube. aecrouch7413/Amy RE: Opinions on My New Park. - Tammy2000 - May 12, 2015 (May 12, 2015, 02:03 PM)aecrouch7413 Wrote: Tammy, I put the link there in case someone else wanted to use the building that heatherg23 made that's all Thanks, Amy ![]() ![]() I might have to leave mine too :'( I will take your word for it and wait for Cobra, he seems to be of help and support so far, like you have ![]() Thanks again ![]() RE: Opinions on My New Park. - Cobra - May 12, 2015 Well, for WIP screens the ingame menü bars etc. aren't a big deal. But for presentation later on, i would recommend to use the cheat for clearing the picture before the screenshot. If you stuck somewhere i would do a step backwards and think about what is your plan of the whole park. Which kind of park you will go for? Park building is a planning process first. It starts with an idea in your head and some parts can be done more/less without general planning. But if the park/project getting bigger, a solid plan is helpful to provid you from future trouble. So sit down, take pen/paper out and do some brainstorming about your park in general. This helps you along the way. And if you stuck again, take a look at your paper or notepad file. Normally you have so much work to do on a park, that you normally won't get stuck ![]() Also, i wouldn't use to much pre-build structures from other people. Doesn't matter if they are good or not. But pre-build ones won't fit anytime, especially if it comes to custom parks. I would use these only as inspiration and/r rework it so that they fit more into your park. Another hint would be, to start up with a small park for your first project. A handful flatrides and 1-3 coasters are enough. Major problems on big parks are the huge space that is left if you build allready a lot of rides and than people loose the interest into the project. And the first one doens't need to be perfect. It can be seen as training. The second park will be the improving your skills one. And so on. So don't be to serious on your first park project and take it the easy way ![]() It's a bit hard to give feedback on this early stage of process i would say. But i wouldn't place trees first and also won't do terraforming without any purpose/reason. You have an Entrance and a small plaza with your "sculpture". Now you should plan your path layout. Use a sand terrainpaint or anything else than green and mark your future pathways. With doing this you can better plan which rides should be placed where. After doing this, you can do a rough terraforming if you want some height levels in your park. But for the first park, a flatland will do the job. Random foliage and other stuff is something for the finishing process. Wow, that's lots for tips, thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() -Tamzin RE: Opinions on My New Park. - Cobra - May 12, 2015 So you want to go pro style, huh? ![]() Well, than you should check out Silvarret's Let's Play RCT3 Series. And than you should switch from ingame objects fully to CSO's. Because ingame stuff and pro/expert creations won't fit in any case. With ingame default objects you can only build average, but far away from pro. But don't ask for a list of importent cso's, because that would blow up the thread itself. ![]() So long, Cobra |
