Some more information about Round 200 Round 200 is going to be a very special round and, as such, all entries for Round 200 will be required to have theming and must be of a high quality. There will be a minimum screenshot limit. There will be no limit on the number of entries accepted (though each user will be limited to a single entry). You will also be able to vote even if you entered, though you will not be able to vote for your own entry. If there are enough entries, semifinalists will be selected and a second round of voting will occur for a final winner of the round. In order to give you additional time to prepare a great entry, the voting window for this round has been extended, and there will be a delay between the closing of this round and the entry window for Round 200 opening. Final details will be announced after this round has closed! RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 199 - nathan8848 - May 13, 2015 That was REALLY fast to put up. I vote Mamluk RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 199 - Rudy18 - May 13, 2015 My vote goes to either Mamluk or Great American Dipper, although most likely Mamluk. I absolutely love the layout and look of American Dipper, but the scenery on Mamluk is fantastic. Chima, you just got RCT2 a couple days ago, I don't think you should enter the build it until you get more experience in the game. Gigabyte looks nice but it is hard to judge due to the lack of a video. In my opinion, nolimits coasters are the ones most needing a video due to the specialized track and the potential for track bumps you couldn't normally tell from screenshots. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 199 - James_Fan_1886 - May 13, 2015 Can't wait for Round 200! And WOW, THIS WAS FAST FOR THE ROUND TO COME UP! The only thing I might not like is if I get rejected because my coaster is not good enough :O *ahem* Mamluk - Wow, great ride! I however didn't like the repetitiveness of the building walls, they all look the same. But I really liked the station and the tunnel it goes into before the lift hill! The layout was pretty unique, but it needs more ground shrubbery and more variety in the trees. I especially liked the night screenshots on your entry! GigaBite - First look, unique name! That's a big and crazy coaster, with fasts turns, or at least they look fast However, I feel like more terraforming could have been used in the background of the coaster. The Inverted Impulse was cool however, and my favorite part of the ride is when it goes over the water! Jungle Adventure - For your first RCT2 coaster Chim, it was pretty interesting! I liked the layout, and the terrain and buildings were cool too! Great American Dipper - Is that City of Angels I see in that second screenshot Terry? The layout it CRAZY and fast, however the flaw to this coaster is that the ride itself could have used more detail. Ratings: 1. Mamluk - MY VOTE 2. GigaByte - Good for NoLimits 2, but it's sorta bland. 3. Jungle Adventure - The better of the 2 RCT2 coasters. 3. Great American Dipper - I think it's actually the level of Jungle Adventure, my final thought is that the two RCT2 tracks are tied, they got unlucky this round Great job from everyone though RE: Vote for your favorite track! Yeah I guess you're right I entered because I thought I might get lucky this round, but obviously not And like you guys have said before in the last year or so, it's just a competition, and I can accept that now 5. WOW! EVERYTHING IS AWESOME! 4. Amazing! 3. Good 2. It's okay... 1. MEH... 0. MY EYES ARE BLEEDING Mamluk - 4/5 GigaByte - 3/5 Jungle Adventure - My coaster Great American Dipper - 4/5 Good for RCT2! RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 199 - Cheleste - May 13, 2015 First of, what a great idea for round-200 from you Justin! Semi-Finals and such sounds nice and that entries should be good quality. A wish come true, only experts in one single round, that makes everything more interesting and challenging. Now to this round, vote goes to "Great American Dipper". But only because "Mamluk" lacks on creativity infact of buildings. Basic looking buildigns in RCT3, a nono for me. Overall they look ok and have enough details. Arabian theme with a Corkscrew Coaster reminds me also of Silvarret's "Aslan" in the past. And he excuted the arabian architecture better with more variety on each building. Compared to these structures, your buildings look to basic and simliar to each other as i said. Gigabite isn't that bad, but it lacks on scenary as allways if it comes to NL/NL2 creations. As Rudy pointed out, you shouldn't enter a competition. But one thing i don't understand is this: how often did you see RCT2 entries in build-it chima? I would say enough to learn something how to show them of. Doesn't matter if you buy the game only a few days ago. You had enough time to take closer looks to past winners like TerryInferno, NieSch or Rudy18. Or maybe ask them how you can do these or that?! Great American Dipper looks really generic at first with the "american" kind of style. I like the layout and all the self interaction, it's a bit of a mix between GCI and CCI Coasters in some way, but why not. I had choosed, for more old american style, the standard 4-seater trains, but Milleniumflyer trains work aswell. Scenary isn't much there for the track itself, but infact of the park where you placed the coaster, it looks good enough. But with space for improving! A close one, but RCT3 compared with RCT2 and what can be done in which one -> Great American Dipper wins against Mamluk, for me. Cheleste RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 199 - naveisawesome - May 13, 2015 Well I have to say right away that this round is much better than the last Mr.Nozem- As always your dark rides are awesome, however I do agree that it is a bit repetitive in the walls Person who did gigabite (I forget who)- I like the layout, but it really needs a video, and the name was a nice pun Chima- You definetly need more practise with stuff, watch Fluxtrance (or me) if you want to know some tips, because you have a square of trees that are all the same, and then just scattered ones, that are also the same trees, pluus there is no land colouring for what is a jungle theme, I'd say the only thing that is done on this ride is the station, good job on that Terry- I know from personal experience that is very hard to do a lot with a wooden coaster in RCT2, so for what is possible, good job with it, however it is very generic themed, I like the little bumper boats section you have on the inside in that pond Right now my vote is for Mr.Nozem or Terry, I haven't decided yet for once Nave RE: Vote for your favorite track! That's why Silvarret is the king of RCT3 (or at least the prince ) and I 'm not. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 199 - Cobra - May 14, 2015 This round opens fast, seems like that Justin is focused on round-200. Could be a match between "Mamluk" and "Great American Dipper", i would guess. As some other pointed out, chimalion you enterd way to early into this with a game that you don't know much. You should use NE-Designs for some references what can be done with RCT2. The layout of Gigabite doesn't look bad, but only with tress around it doesn't feel complete. Mamluk feels complete, but with a simple architecture for RCT3. I don't want to compare the buildings against silvarrets, because currently not much players have the same niveau if it comes to architecture. As a color fetishist i'm not a fan of the yellow in it. I had choose gold or tan instead of yellow. Great American Dipper as a coaster itself looks really good. I'm not to much into this patriot thing, because the colors are overused in my opinion from americans. As Cheleste wrote, looks like a mix of different Woodie Manufactures, but it works. The lack on scenary could be an issue, but with this compact and twisty layout there isn't to much room left for scenary and theming. Only around the coaster and there normally only trees are be placed. The only eye-catcher for woodies would be the station, and for RCT2 it looks good. I'm tied between these both creations. On one side i would loved to see more different buildings onto Mamluk and on the other side a bit more foliage, terraforming could be done on Great American Dipper. Both are solid work, but still with room for improvements. I need more time for my decision. So long, Cobra RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 199 - ian44accordx - May 14, 2015 GigaBite has my vote. I'm sick of seeing posts about peeps who use Nolimits needing more scenery. RCT games have scenery packs and CS readily available to them. Unless you use Nolimits 2 like I and a few others do, you don't understand the work that goes into creating these coasters and scenery for it. |
