Windows 8.1 Park Crashed at Activate Objects - Wilhelm1407 - Sep 2, 2015

I transferred my files from my Vista to my new gaming computer that runs on Windows 8.1. On Vista I never had a problem loading my files before. The only issues I had sometimes were recording video and taking screenshots. However now that I'm on 8.1, certain park files crash when I try to load them. They get to "Activate Objects," and then crash. I've tried using Park Cleanup, and even that didn't help. All of the specs on my computer are better than my old one, so I don't have a clue why this is happening. Has anyone else had this issue?  Confused

I am using Windows 8.1 and on occasion, I get some strange things happening when I play the game. Here are some of the things I experience...
The game will minimize by itself.
It will change the screen size for a few seconds and go back to the regular size.
Sometimes the game takes awhile to load for the first time on my system.
When it froze I had to do control, alt, delete...not always the best but sometimes that doesn't even work.
If all else fails, I have to do a cold boot. Not always the best option. After I do this I usually restart my computer so it doesn't  act strange. Some computers don't react well to cold boots, so check with your computer manual before attempting this. That is if you decide to. As always back up everything.
In worst case scenarios I've had to take the game completely off my computer and re-install it. Including taking it off the hard drive. Windows 8.1 doesn't always remove everything when you uninstall it. Usually this helps and have the game work better. The bad part, you've gotta download all of your custom stuff again.
Hope that helps and sheds some light on the situation. (sort-of-speak)
