help with wooden supports - SUPER MOOSE93 - Oct 23, 2015

i have started work on a small and fairly easy project just to get back into rct3 again but to make it a little more challenging to myself i have gone with a wooden style coaster. unfortunately i have never supported a larger track with wooden supports so im not too sure what would look good/strong.

i am starting with the small and simple area at the beginning of my ride trying to get a feel for what i should and shouldnt be doing when it comes to the larger parts of the track.

this is all i have done so far, dont want to do a good chunk of the support work and have to delete it at a later date.

Suggest that you run an 'X' brace on the top and bottom of each cube. That will provide the lateral bracing needed. Keep the cubes the same size as much as possible.

i have gone with an alternating pattern with the cross braces on the sides and bottom of the cubes. a full X frame was a bit too much.

i dont really like the supports around the turns but that is as clean as i could make them look. i also started the theming around the start, dont think it looks too bad so far
