Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - Justin - Jan 12, 2016 It's time for another round of voting for RCTgo's Build It! Competition. Four more great entries are up for voting - below are the name and screenshot of each. It's now time for you to vote for your favorite track! Let's have a great round! #1: Green-backed Lizard ![]() #2: Split Image ![]() #3: Scarlet Kingsnake ![]() #4: Gannet ![]() Voting is now open! Voting will remain open until Tuesday, January 19 RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - ChrisMDB - Jan 12, 2016 This round... Wow... Haven't had a good one like this in.... I don't know how long lol. This will definitely take some thinking over before I cast a vote. I'll probably watch the POV's and examine screenshots a bit more so I can provide more in-depth feedback on your coasters as well because at first glance I didn't see anything wrong with any of them (Which is quite a big deal lol). RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - BlazingEmpireHD - Jan 12, 2016 Oh wow, Scarlet Kingsnake, and Green-backed Lizard literally are the same coaster, same colour scheme, and even the same (general) type of animal, but in RCT2 and 3. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - ctg614 - Jan 12, 2016 I think split personality had the best theming and the scenery seems to be the best, but the supports seem a little funky. I will give it some slack though because it is a splitting coaster, and custom supports are hard to come by. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - Maverick360 - Jan 12, 2016 This was a pretty good round, but Split Image took my vote because I really couldn't find any problems with it. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - naveisawesome - Jan 12, 2016 Oh wow what around, all 4 of these are very well done, havent casted a vote yet, ill give some feedback after I do Justin your new build it rule worked! RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - nathan8848 - Jan 12, 2016 Tons of quality pictures too. I'm stuck on both the reptiles. (Lizard, Kingsnake). I'll come back and decide at a later date. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - ChrisMDB - Jan 13, 2016 This round lol, just when I think I have a solid, justified ranking for these entries I look at 'em again and realize I really don't xD For anyone that counts Scarlet Kingsnake out please remember how well done it is for a coaster with no CS except for its supports. For anyone that overlooks Gannet please remember that it is a very well done wing-dive-machine, something we haven't seen before! Green-Backed Lizard is one of the best RCT2 entries we've seen in a while. Split Image is certainly the best splitting coaster I've seen enter as well, when you consider these points (or at least when I do) it's VERY difficult to pick a last-place, let alone a first, second, or third lol. RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - naveisawesome - Jan 15, 2016 I voted scarlet kingsnake after very in depth study of this Honestly all the coasters were amazing, I just thought it was brilliant how they managed to make it look so much like cs when all they used for cs was the supports, and the overall theme is just awesome Split Image is also really awesome, it just got trumped (not donald, I mean the verb) by the fact that some of the turns were sudden, otherwise its really well done The other 2 I was quite impressed with as well, however its hard to beat amazing RCT3 entries, Gannet and Green Backed Lizard got entered into the wrong round RE: Vote for your favorite track! Round 221 - Terry Inferno - Jan 16, 2016 I'm currently unable to choose between Split Image and Gannet. Both are beautifully-built coasters with excellent supports and great scenery. I'd vote for both if I had the option. For the hyper-twister reptile entries, the scenery looks good, but both track designs could have been improved upon by removing some of the brakes. The Lizard could have easily been 1,000 feet longer with only two sets of brakes instead of four. The one between the first drop and the mid course brake run could have been removed and replaced with at least one additional airtime hill, and more could have been fit between the MCBR and the end brake run had the brakes atop the station been removed. Why tame a beast when he has so much momentum? ![]() The Kingsnake had an unusual amount of brakes for a coaster its size, yet the quality of the ride would have been noticeably better had three of the brake sections been excluded and the final turn had been banked. There are unnecessary brakes between the station and the lift hill, after the first drop, and directly after the on-ride photo section, though that photo section underneath the station was my favorite part of the ride. The train crawls over nearly every hill and around every elevated turn, eliminating most of the thrill factor from both elements. |
