Not related to anything on this website at all, but have/do any of you guys do spelling bees? If so, how successful were you?

I won a 5th grade bee. Came in second for the 6th grade

Our middle school had one big spelling bee for 5th to 8th grade. In 5th I came in second (niche), in 6th I didn't even place (bailiff), and in 7th and 8th I won. I did end up going to the regional bee where I spelled out on the word schottische

Never been in a spelling bee, but haven't spelt anything wrong that wasn't a typo since grade 4
