My Mission: Fastest RCT2 Coaster Ever! - naveisawesome - Mar 25, 2016
So my laptop just got cleaned and now ironically its being buggy, and stopping me from playing RCT2 because of some VCOM thing missig, even though I have that file (if anyone knows what's up with that please let me know)
Anyways, I'm on my family's desktop for this weekend, with no access to my old files, so I decided to challenge myself to break the record for fastest max speed in the history of RCT2 (with no cheats)
I'm going to try to at least break the sound barrier too, but that'll be tough
I did the math and the sound barrier at 20 degrees celcius (The in game warm temperature) is 1236.24km/h
That's insane
So yeah not sure if this is a good coaster to enter into build it, cause it will probably lack scenery, but you guys tell me if its worthy, I'll post it on this thread when I finish

Update: after building a track that goes all the way around the biggest sandbox park (about 6km) in 1 minute 22 sec, I realized that after about 250km/h the train actually slows down while on launched lift hill, so I only achieved a max speed of 323km/h so far
So the sound barrier breaking is not going to happen
I'm going to do some research to find the record I have to beat
Update 2: After doing another circuit, I only got up to a max speed of 326km/h (203mph) it seems that once you get around to this area, it is basically impossible to increase the speed much at all
I'm going to go for it and submit this into build it next round, cause why not?

I have an unfinished coaster similar to this in a massive sandbox park, but it's closer to its 30th circuit. In addition to fastest coaster, it's also an attempt at the most intense, highest vertical and lateral G's, and longest coaster, with the intention of covering every square in the park with track many times over. But after all of the hours of work put into it, it isn't even 10% complete.
RCT2 would have a maximum allowable speed somewhere in the programming, but so far, nobody has found it. Yours may be the fastest out there so far.

@Terry I've done some research, the highest speed I saw anyone even say they got online was 200mph, so I think I've got the record, and I'd love to see that coaster
funny enough I actually started a design for longest track design in RCT3, im about 1% of the way, havent touched it in a while
