When I watched this I thought, this would be a lot of fun. But when I saw the part on how this ride doesn't have any shoulder restraints, I was like no way! Have any of you been on a ride like this with no shoulder restraints?

Busch Gardens Williamsburg (Tempesto) and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom (Superman: Ultimate Flight) are the same design.

This is a ride I would go on..I think it's a Dive Coaster. The scariest part would be the first drop.

I've been on this ride SEVERAL times (30+), it's not dangerous at all. You're also right that it's a dive coaster.
The name's Griffon and it's at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
This is one of a couple Dive coasters around the world and in the US. I've been on two, Valravn at Cedar Point, and the one I mentioned above. They're safe, so you're not going to die. (They're pretty fun too!) Both of these coasters I've been on have been incredibly smooth.
I do recommend these coasters to give a try any time you can, Amy!

Thanks for the insight on the ride(s). I can't go on any rides this year. Maybe next summer if all goes well. Six Flags Great America would be closest amusement park near me. Maybe one day I would be able to visit Cedar Point (I've never been), and I haven't been to Disney World for a long time. I'm hoping X-Flight will still be at Six Flags I heard its a great ride. We will see.

If you make it to cp, then ride valravn. It blows griffon completely away!
BTW, I've been on sheikra, almost a clone of griffon.

In all honesty, all three coasters really aren't THAT different. Griffon is still my favourite dive coaster.
