RE: Post Your Top Ten Here! - BlazingEmpireHD - Aug 13, 2017

Time for an update:

Keep in mind, I've only been to three big and known parks:
Busch Gardens Williamsburg: 7/10/2017 (I'm also about to go again, so...)
Cedar Point: 05/5/2016
Dollywood: 06/2014

1: Griffon (BGW) - Best dive out there if ya ask me. Buttery smooth and I've ridden it almost 50 times. :P
2: Raptor (CP)- Super smooth layout and it's the only other invert I've been on. FYI, the other SHALL NOT be named. ;P
3: Apollo's Chariot (BGW) - Another smooth layout, and just a fun out and back I can get DOWN with!
4: Maverick (CP) - While I was not a huge fan of the almost joltiness, this is still far better than a lot of roller coasters.
5: Tempesto (BGW) - Best slow roll EVER.
6: Top Thrill Dragster (CP) - Great launch and ride.
7: Wild Eagle (DW) - Throwup of the bunch, but I quite liked this ride. Even more than GateKeeper.
8: InVadR (BGW) - The ONLY wooden coaster I have ridden and liked.
9: Millenium Force (CP) - Goes without sayin.'
10: Eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh - Eventually something will go here.

10. X2= Six Flags Magic Mountain
9. Phantom's Revenge- Kennywood

5. Millenium Force- Cedar Point

1. Superman the Ride- Six Flags New England

RE: Post Your Top Ten Here! - BlazingEmpireHD - Nov 28, 2017

Time for an update after being to Carowinds this October.

1. Nighthawk (CW) - Only laydown coaster I have been on, but so intense and an amazing ride.
2. Intimidator (CW) - Hyper coaster. Lots of air time and super smooth. Love
3. Big Bad Wolf (BGW) - This was and is my favourite ride at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I miss it so very much.
4. Apollo's Chariot (BGW) - This and Griffon changes place every time I go, but this time, Apollo's ftw.
5. Raptor (CP) - A super smooth invert. Intense. Nothing else to say.
6. Fury 325 (CW) - Fast and furious. Only wish there was more intensity with it.
7. Rougarou (CP) - Love this ride! Vastly underrated. I do not know why.
8. The Hurler (CW) - Absolutely the best wooden roller coaster I've ever ridden. Buttery smooth!
9. Tempesto (BGW) - I still love the super slow roll. However, the ride does have a rattle.
10. Top Thrill Dragster (CP) - Super intense launch....high height...and that's it.

This list is bound to change next year as I will return to Carowinds and Cedar Point, but also visit Kings Island, Kings Dominion, and possibly more of the Cedar Fair parks.

RE: Post Your Top Ten Here! - Maverick360 - Nov 28, 2017

Never really thought about my top ten, so here we go:
  1. Maverick - Ever wonder about my name? I love everything about this ride.
  2. Montu - My favorite invert ever. Intense, with lighting fast pacing. Theming is on par with Disney!
  3. Fury 325 - Amazing layout, intense G's, and it's absolutely gorgeous. 32 rides in one week.
  4. Afterburn - I love me some invert.
  5. Phoenix - Insane airtime baby! First real roller coaster as well.
  6. The Beast - Gotta love the classic terrain coaster. Amazing night rides are a plus!
  7. Manta - Best example of a B&M flying coaster. Very picturesque.
  8. Diamondback - Great B&M hyper. Fun layout with decent airtime. Cool splashdown.
  9. Magnum XL-200 - Great ejector airtime, with a fun drop.
  10. Cheetah Hunt - Great theming, layout, and airtime. Three forceful launches!
You'll notice I don't have Millennium Force or Top Thrill Dragster. Never been a fan of either. Steel Vengeance will probably be top 5 once I get a ride. Please don't judge some of my picks. I have diverse taste in roller coasters.

BTW, You actually liked Nighthawk Blaze??? Maybe I just rode on the wrong day, or in the wrong seat, but was one of the most mediocre coaster I've ever been on. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good.

RE: Post Your Top Ten Here! - The Coaster Creator - Nov 28, 2017

So i have an edit to my list. Just slap Fury 325 on top ad knock everything else down one

RE: Post Your Top Ten Here! - ChrisMDB - Nov 28, 2017

I just noticed that I haven't solidified my top ten, I should probably do that:

10. Apollo's Chariot (Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Pennsylvania) -
If you know me then you probably know I prefer more compact coaster types and designs as opposed to hyper coasters, this one is the exception to that rule. Fantastically smooth, great diving drops, and if you sit in the front row it'll make you cry it goes soo fast (no, literally, my cousins, brother, and I rode in the front row and we all had tears streaming out of our eyes on the first drop because it was soo fast).

9. Fahrenheit (Hershey Park, Hershey, Pennsylvania) -
I've never been on it as it was added after I moved out of PA, but it is a very aesthetically pleasing ride to look at and the POV is intense, definitely on my to-do list for next time I'm in the area.

8. The Silver Comet (Martin's Fantasy Island, Grand Island, New York) -
A small CCI that definitely delivers for its age, while it's shorter and slower than The Predator it definitely makes up for it with the large amount of airtime riders experience.

7. The Viper (Darien Lake, Darien, New York) -
Probably one of, if not the smoothest Arrow Loopers out there. A loops, a pretzel loop, and two corkscrews round out the ride's five inversions, and while it doesn't have interlocking loops like Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens, this one doesn't leave you feeling like you've broke something when you get off of it.

6. The Roller Soaker (Hershey Park, Hershey, Pennsylvania) -
Yes, I know this ride no longer exists, but man was it cool when it was around! Considering Hershey didn't have a waterpark back then it was the best way to cool off on a hot summer day, and even if you didn't want to ride you could still man a water-cannon from below the ride and shoot your friends/family as they went by - just watch out for the water "bombs" (balloons) they'd try dropping on you.

5. The Predator (Darien Lake, Darien, New York)
A great Dinn Corporation woodie that unfortunately hasn't aged well, I'm really hoping it gets an RMC job in the future because it is getting to be quite rough.

4. The Mind Eraser [and its clones] (Darien Lake, Darien, New York) -
Just a stock Vekoma invert here, not a whole lot to see. I've always loved how compact and smooth the ride manages to be (so long as you're tall enough for the restraints to not jostle you around.

3. Alpengeist (Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, Virginia) -
While some on site may beg to differ, this is a fantastic B&M invert that'll have you flying through the valleys of the park as you zoom through inversions. Yes, the cobra roll may be a tiny bit rough because of how compact they were forced to make it, but it's still a superb ride that I'd definitely recommend.

2. Tatsu (Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, California) -
I've also never had the pleasure of riding this, but if I ever do it will easily be my favorite as it not only looks amazing from the ground and in pictures, the POV is outstanding as well.

1. Flashback (Six Flags Magic Mountain, Valencia, California) -
Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of riding this before it was removed, but it has always been my favorite coaster and the POV is wonderful. Maybe someday there will be a recreation built somewhere.
