Backup Progress - Imorital - Jul 14, 2006 I've had to re-install RCT3 some time ago but despite backing up a bunch of files I was unable to continue from where I'd got up to in the new installation. Does anyone know what I need to backup to get the progress and unlocked tracks to carry across between installations? Additionally, My girlfriend started playing under my windows account, but her progress isn't carried across to her account. Is there a way of copying this over too? Thanks in advance for you help, Stu RE: Backup Progress - RCS2K4 - Jul 14, 2006 To save progress within RCT, you need to back-up everything in your My Documents/RCT3 folder. If RCT was installed on multiple user accounts, then you will need to back up the RCT3 folder inside My Docs for every user account. And welcome to the forums ![]() RE: Backup Progress - Imorital - Jul 14, 2006 Excellent, thanks for the advice. I've been hit by a particularly insidious trojan that seems to defy removal by all the usual tools at the moment, so now seems like a good time to blitz the machine and start from scratch. For the record: If you see something called 'SpywareQuake' on your machine, you're in trouble... :-( Stu. I reccomend you give it a try, above all, it's cheaper than Norton too... It said I had something like 278 viruses found and the home page on Internet Explorer kept changing to this thing telling me to spent hundereds of pounds installing something to get rid of them all. In the end my whole compter crashed and I had to reset it to factory seconds, but I hadn't backed anythung up... I must go and back up my parks now in case something like that happens again... |
