Meteor Valley - Cosmic Explosion preview picture (12/02/07) - Nuclear Fish - Oct 29, 2006 ![]() Yes, Meteor Valley is back! This is my third version of this park, and it's going to be better than ever! If you didn't already know, the first Meteor Valley was made before I discovered custom scenery, and I lost it during a fatal error with my computer. The second one got a bit further, and I even made a video, but last week I just got bored of it, and I knew I could do better. Meteor Valley is well known for being the park with the Pepsi themed area (which will return in this version). This version of the park will be incredibly detailed and much more realistic. The location of the park will be based on Cumbria in the UK (more commonly known as the Lake District, where I went on holiday last week). This means lots of mountains, and the whole park will be built around a lake (expect to see some giant spectacular fountain in the middle). It's a futuristic themed park, but combined with a more 'natural' environment, so it should look pretty intersting and unique when it's done. There will be four or five different themed areas withing the park, all with a modern look to them The first section I've been working on is the racing themed area (those of you who saw the last version will remember I started one, but didn't get very far). So far in these screenshots only two rides are visible: an Intamin launched coaster and a duelling Vekoma motorbike coaster. These pictures are taken at night to show off the lighting. Daytime pictures will come soon though. ![]() ^ A view from the back of the Intamin station, showing the top hat in the distance. ![]() ^ The inside of the station, preparing for launch. ![]() ^ The first half of the queue, also showing the Vekoma motorbike coaster going into the brake run over the station. ![]() ^ The second half of the queue. That small suare of water will eventually hold one of my fountains, but I just need to make some cnetre placed ones first. ![]() ^ Part of the Vekoma motorbike twisting underneath the Intamin launch. Please comment on what I've done so far, and any suggestions or improvements are welcome. RE: Meteor Valley returns! - Turbo Tortoise - Oct 29, 2006 WOW! Definatly much better than the old version, altough I didnt know this was your third! I really like that huge coaster, Intamin. Nice name, and I am glad to hear that theyre will be different themed aeas. RE: Meteor Valley returns! - rct3x - Oct 29, 2006 Wow! Looking great RE: Meteor Valley returns! - Gamesonline - Oct 29, 2006 Wow, meteor valley is looking great ! RE: Meteor Valley returns! - DrMonkey - Oct 30, 2006 I think I'll be the first member not to post Wow as their first word...instaed I'll use Bllody Hell that looks good! ![]() RE: Meteor Valley returns! - jj_lamb92 - Oct 30, 2006 Brilliant NF, you never fail to amaze me. well done, keep it up and please try and finish this one ![]() RE: Meteor Valley returns! - Gamesonline - Oct 30, 2006 I hope to see more screenshots of this park soon. RE: Meteor Valley returns! - grim_reaper - Oct 30, 2006 nice one nf RE: Meteor Valley returns! - Nuclear Fish - Oct 30, 2006 Thanks for the comments everyone! And Turbo Tortoise, Intamin is the type of coaster, not the name. An Intamin launch/accelerator coaster is one like TTD or Kingda Ka. I haven't really done much more (I've done a bit of work on the motorbike coaster which I won't reveal just yet), but I thought I'd post a couple more screenshots anyway. ![]() ^ Daytime view of the station, showing peeps eagerly awaiting their turn on the ride. ![]() ^ A nice shot at night showing the support structure on the top hat. If anyone has any ideas for names for these coasters (the intamin launch coaster and the motorbikes), please suggest them here. I have a few, but none which really sound interesting enough. More coming soon! RE: Meteor Valley returns! - Turbo Tortoise - Oct 31, 2006 /\ How about TI SE TELEXA (tye-s-eye-tel-ex-a)? /\Like that shot. |
