Waters edge - pagg - Apr 13, 2010 Hi, First time on her so sorry if i sound a newb! I Have created a park mostly full of waterfalls, not sure why just something diffrent to do. all the waterfalls are in place but i cant work out what theme to go for on the park. Any one have any ideas as to what would work? If any one would like to see the park properly then its in the Sandbox downloads, called waters edge. I was thinking of running some kind of water ride right down the canyon at bottom of park, maybe a river rapids. as you can see the park is far from done but i just wonderd what Every one thaught so far? any feedback would be great! Thx Pagg (Dave) RE: Waters edge - Theme help! - Cobraderra - Apr 13, 2010 This looks really interesting. Based on my very limited knowledge (almost nothing), making sure that peeps don't get lost could be an issue if you intend having access to various sections within your park. This was one of the first things I learned when creating my park Ages (in this section). I was using multiple stations to transport peeps through the various Ages thinking that once they got off one ride they would just get onto another. Does not seem to work that way as peeps would just get lost once they got off the ride. I am very interested to see how you develop this. RE: Waters edge - Theme help! - pagg - Apr 13, 2010 Hmm, lI really have not given it much thaught at the moment, now thinking i should of pre planed the walk ways! thanks for your advice, I guess i will try and make a loop around the park so people dont get lost. Will work on the walk ways next to save confusion later! Thx I have made path layout the next step. trying to keep it as on the floor as posable RE: Waters edge - Theme help! - Rct31337 - Apr 14, 2010 This should be an adventure-themed park. As for the peeps getting lost on transport rides, I think it's just a glitch. I had a park with a transport ride with two stations. One in the main park, and another at the pool. Unfortunately they all just stood there lost instead of going to the pool. Anyone know how to fix this? I never had transport rides made at that point. It was just coasters with multiple stations. As soon as I created a linking pathway, all the peeps suddenly started moving and heading off down the path. I will try out transport ride on the new version of Ages before putting in link paths to see if that works. RE: Waters edge - Theme help! - pagg - Apr 16, 2010 First coaster finished! have a runaway train also but im still working on that. Called it the green monster, Its the only coaster in the park to drop verticaly from the highest ground posible to the lowest ground posible and it turnes 180 as it hits the waterfall so the peeps dont drown! This is the station area and begining of ride, The idea is that the first half of the ride is gentle and calm so lots of islands and trees. i have built the the station at normal ground level so the clime is as half at start of ride and half at end. this is the boost section to get to top of park. After that it carry's on as a gentle ride thru the scenery. Now it slows almost to a holt then boosts of into the extreme part! a vertical drop as big as it gets! followed buy lots and lots of breaking!!! into many flips and turns. Better shot of main coaster area. view of vertical drop after this it travels very low along the canyon floor then dose this over the bridge! what is the name for a section like that? followed buy a few drops then back up to start. I have breakes on as hard as they can be at bottom of that drop and it only just slowes it a bit! to give you some idea of drop hight all the flips and loops at the bottom are built as high as the game will alow and the vertical drop is at least double that. Going to carry on with runaway train now ![]() RE: Waters edge - Theme help! - Cobraderra - Apr 17, 2010 This looks amazing. RE: Waters edge - Theme help! - MKWiiGuy3463 - Apr 22, 2010 Really good. RE: Waters edge - pagg - May 9, 2010 Train done ![]() Got a bit trigger happy with the "prt scr" button ![]() Photos are sort of in order of ride. Cant share park because of the custom stuff ![]() Can any one tell me some software 4 video capture please? will post in help also. Any how here is pics Any one got any suggestions or ideas i would love to here them. RE: Waters edge - SuperGoldChicken - May 9, 2010 Looking at your photos, I see a few bare spots. I think you should add more trees (call me crazy), the more you have the more realistic and quaint the park will look. Also, could you make a list of the custom scenery packs you used? |
