Installing RCT3 Platinum CD Issue - RCTNinFreek - Dec 23, 2010 If you didn't know yet, I previously stated that I finally found my RCT3 Platinum disk and I was so excited at installing it on my computer. So I plugged it on my disk drive and waited for it to install. When it was installing RCT3 though, about 1/3 of the way into the installation, it would just freeze and stay there. I thought "Oh, it must be working hard to get it installed, so I'll wait and stare." After a couple of minutes, an error box came up and said something like... "Feature not installed USA_BUILD ... " (I forgot what the rest said.) I was greeted with disappointment when I saw that. ![]() Can someone please help me? ![]() RE: Installing RCT3 Platinum CD Issue - Drew_ - Dec 23, 2010 Perhaps, get a new CD. Thats all I can really think of. How about cleaning your CD? Don't use soap though, it can leave soap on the disc and leave permanet damage. (i learned the hard way with my old Plantinum disc.) RE: Installing RCT3 Platinum CD Issue - coasterfreak900 - Dec 23, 2010 Well, if you lost your disk for a while it probably did get damaged, wherever it was. To me, damaged and defective disks always cause these install failures. I still have many old games where the disks are too scratched to work anymore from long periods of storage. Sometimes, when I order a game online (saves money) it arrives completely defective. Luckily, if the scratches haven't damaged the label, just plain cleaning it with water should still work. I'm too lazy to get a new CD and I'm broke. ![]() (Dec 23, 2010, 10:36 PM)coasterfreak900 Wrote: Well, if you lost your disk for a while it probably did get damaged, wherever it was. Wouldn't water make the CD even worse as it is? If not, maybe I can do that. And what do you mean "the label"? Is that the front of the CD or back? RE: Installing RCT3 Platinum CD Issue - zach_gamer77 - Dec 29, 2010 You should probably buy a new disk. RE: Installing RCT3 Platinum CD Issue - Drew_ - Dec 30, 2010 You can contact Atari on this issuse, but I'm not sure that it would help you installing it. |
