RE: Profile Picture Animation? - coasterfreak900 - Apr 25, 2011 Those are animated .gifs. Instead of just 1 picture, they are layers (or frames) of several different ones. There are dozens of ways to make them, from image editing programs like Photoshop CS3 or GIMP, to web based interfaces that let you add several still pictures into 1 animated one. Once the image has been made all you have to do it link to it or upload, its almost like any other profile picture.
