Hello - fusioncell - Jan 9, 2012 Hey, I have been playing RCT since the first one. I have every RCT and recently purchased RCT3 on steam so I don't have to worry about my discs! Its nice to be here, I am here to get some information on custom scenery. I saw a video on youtube of some more realistic ride supports so after googling I have been left confused so have come here to the experts for some help! So hello, my name is Alistair and I live in the UK. RE: Hello - Blu - Jan 9, 2012 hello, welcome to rctgo. what i understand, is you are looking for a set for making custom supports. if you are a beginner, the you should use jcat's steelworx: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YQCUQRGU but if you think you can handle expert supporting, use moby's steel jungle: http://www.box.com/shared/sxgisxe9gr RE: Hello - fusioncell - Jan 9, 2012 (Jan 9, 2012, 07:38 PM)alexwohlbruck Wrote: hello, welcome to rctgo. Thanks for the files. How do I use them? How do I install them? How do I access them in game and what about the supports thats are already on the ride. Sorry for all the questions! Is there some sort of guide or something? RE: Hello - Blu - Jan 9, 2012 its ok. i like to help people out. to get rid of the in-game supports, download dasmatze utilities. i also comes with footers, which are optional: http://www.rct-3.org/files/index.php?page=Entry&entryID=125 ok so, before you get started with ANYTHING, you will need to know the rct3 directory. it is located in c:/program files (could be x86)/atari/roller coaster tycoon 3. the usual place to put custom scenery (what you are downloading) is directory/style/themed. put all the sets that i listed in that folder. To access the folders in the game, click the icon called "scenery". it is a tree, a fence, and a trash can. the sets will either be in the one with a wall icon or the one with a pawn and a dice. if the game freezes when you build an object, then you installed it wrong. this usually doesn't happen, but if it does, delete the set and reinstall it. most cs sets come with a text file called a "readme", which tells you how to install it, copyrights (if there is one), and credits to who helped and made the set. i hope this helps. one day you can be an expert like all of us!
