Disk not being read - ZombiezuRFER - Apr 15, 2012

I tried to install RCT3 on my laptop, but it never even acknowledges that there was a disk inside. What should I do? I have considered getting a torrent version, but I'd rather make my disk work first.

Keep trying...Best think you can do...

I have tried many times but it still doesn't acknowledge the disk. I'm going to try to copy the files on another computer and zip them and email them to myself, but I don't know if it can be made small enough.

It can't be that; mine works a treat on my laptop, and I bought the game back in 2005 / 2006 for my windows XP. Check the disk for scratches. That may be the answer to your problems.

When you put the disk inside it doesn't run the installer?

The disk is somewhat scratched, but it runs fine on any other computer than my personal laptop. Should I just get a torrent version? if so, where from? I am somewhat afraid of torrent sites since you never know what viruses you could download.

Go to start > Computer (on the side). Then see if the disk shows up under "Devices with removable storage". If it does, double click on the one with a blue and white panda and it will work.

The problem is it doesn't even acknowledge there being a disk inside, so I can't install it from the disk no matter what.

Take your laptop to Best Buy and to the Geek Squad. There must be something wrong physicly inside your computer.
