RCT3 Importer Problem - Latinotter - Oct 15, 2012 Newbie here trying to import CS done in Sketchup. I have created the ASE file and open RCT3 Importer "v18beta2-svn130". When getting to the part of "Edit Scenery Settings", I finish entering all information then click OK. Absolutely nothing happens, even after clicking several times. I have no idea what to do next! Help I'm stuck RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - Ardy - Oct 15, 2012 Open the game and look for your scenery (the importer automatically puts the file into Style/Themed for you) RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - Latinotter - Oct 15, 2012 Yes, the folder is in the style/themed folder with all files. But, when starting the game I search everywhere and it is nowhere to be found. RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - Ardy - Oct 15, 2012 Sometimes it is saved in weird places, look throughout ALL files. RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - Kingification - Dec 13, 2012 You've probably worked it out by now but you need to check the 'disable' box under 'Group'. RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - Blu - Dec 13, 2012 No, there is a hidden folder somewhere in your computer, but I forget the path. Sorry. But, if you run the importer as an administrator before you start making your set, it will put it in the Style/Themed folder. The reason for this is because the RCT3 directory is in the program files, which of course, are all the files that the program uses to run. It could be potentially dangerous to change up things in the program files, so Windows requires administrator permission to access the files. Thus, in order to install a scenery set, you have to type in the password for the admin. By running the program as the admin, you automatically give the program rights to put any folders and files anywhere on your computer. For example, when you install a program, the installer is just placing files in your program files for you. Before running the installer, you have to have the admin's permission because a malicious program could be running in the background trying to install harmful files without your knowledge. With the admin's permission, this avoids things like that from happening. Sorry I couldn't remember the place where the backup folder is, but if the set is only one piece, you could easily re-do it. RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - callumiscool - Dec 14, 2012 No no no people. Way off track. You have set your scenery to be a individual item, so it's not going to appear in a group with other objects. That's fine however, you just need to click disable if you aren't going to put any icon or text for a group. RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - Blu - Dec 15, 2012 You don't know what your talking about. RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - callumiscool - Dec 15, 2012 Haha, I know exactly what I am talking about. No need to take your anger out on me because you know your explanation wasn't quite correct. Very immature. RE: RCT3 Importer Problem - RCTgoMatthew - Dec 15, 2012 No need for me to help you here! =D |
