Problem with finding files - Obviousz - Dec 19, 2012 Hey peeps, I really need some help here, You see I have recently downloaded RCT3 Platinum edition from the APP STORE. Now everything works perfectly, even 90% of all Custom scenery works (only can't seem to get Shyguys circus centre pack 1 and 2 working..) But now I want to download some parks and pools from this site but I can't find the folder in wich I should place them. Neither can I find any place where my "InGameSavedParks" are meaning I can't add parks to this site aswell.. Can anybody please help me with this? All sites I found only have the usual "My Documents/RCT3/Parks" but that folder is nowhere to be found and the ones I find are empty and nothing happens when I add something so that's not it either! PLEASE HELP ME HERE O: RE: Problem with finding files - FlightToAtlantis - Dec 21, 2012 1. I’d recommend the first thing you do is a system file search for a park you’ve saved that you remember the name of. If you don’t remember the name of a park I’d suggest you open your game, open one of your saves, save as an easily searchable name, and then search for your new save to see where it turns up. That would be the location of your park saves folder. 2. I used to have RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum installed and was having unpredictable problems/crashes with the game until I received as a gift RCT3 Vanilla, Soaked and Wild - three separate disks in one package. I uninstalled RCT3 Platinum, installed Vanilla and its expansion packs, and never looked back. Also, if you live in the United States and are using a system bought in the United States I’d recommend you check to be sure your RCT3 game was manufactured in U.S.A. Likewise, if you live in the EU and are using a system bought in the EU I’d recommend you’ve installed an RCT3 game manufactured in the EU. 3. The Parks folder and the Pools folder should be located in the same place on your system. If you’ve already located your park saves folder in 1 above I’d wager that you’ll also find the Pools folder located in this same place on your system. This is where you’d put your downloaded pools, in the Pools folder. RE: Problem with finding files - jkomoros - Dec 24, 2012 I was having the same problem as the original poster. Unfortunately, FlighToAtlantis's suggestions didn't help. After considerable sleuthing using command line tools, I discovered where the folders are: /Users/<username>/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.rct3.appstore/Data/Library/Application Support/RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum/Parks I can confirm that dropping saved games from this site in that folder works. It looks to me like they're using the iCloud sync APIs to sync those folders across all of the different installations of the app on different computers; I can't confirm if files manually dropped there will sync correctly. RE: Problem with finding files - Obviousz - Dec 25, 2012 Thanks a lot!!! Could you please help?
