Does RCT3 Have a Cache Stash - FlightToAtlantis - Dec 26, 2012

Does someone know where RCT3 stores the cache/temporary files it uses during the game. I know sometimes if one is using an application that has problems on their system, sometimes it helps to clear all the cache and temporary files off the system then the application will work properly again. I’ve been wondering if this was also a possibility with RCT3.

I have noticed that, sometimes if I open a park that crashes RCT3 during start-up, after restarting RCT3, if I open a brand new park with nothing in it, close that park, then attempt to open the park that crashed before, the crashed park will open successfully the next time. If there is a cache or a temporary files stash I presume that the opening of the fresh park partially or fully deletes these files.

It would be interesting to know what someone else thinks.

Are you asking if the game saves backup files in the background? Considering it's an 8 year old game, I would guess not.
