RE: No limits question - cstrfrk_2 - Apr 7, 2013 I had to do a system restore on my computer and lost a whole bunch of downloads including newton 2 and tia's construction tools as well as nolimits element pack 2............can anyone help me????? RE: No limits question - Drew_ - Apr 12, 2013 ^ download them again? RE: No limits question - FlightToAtlantis - Apr 13, 2013 Oh. Is it December 9999 already! I must update my system calendar. Cstrfrk_2, to the best of my knowledge the only files System Restore is interested in on an individual file basis are .exe, .msi, .dll, and, for reasons known only to itself, various .inf files, various program file folders (in part or in whole) and various compressed folders. All other files will remain unchanged and in the same location after the restore as before the restore. I’d recommend you rely on your backups, just copy and paste them over to your new install. However, your post suggests this isn’t an option. Hopefully you’ve exported your download manager history into a back-up file and can directly access the links you used before to all the stuff you downloaded in that way. Quite a number of years ago I did a system restore and actually lost some .doc files. Have you ever used system restore before? If so did you have difficulties with files then? |
