The park inspector. Blight or Benefit? - FlightToAtlantis - Apr 7, 2013

Spend half an hour on the internet looking up things RCT3 related and you'll find our community have a strong opinion about this individual. Who is he really? And where did he come from? And honestly! Does he help or hinder our gaming experience?

I voted the 4th choice.
yet while what he does is very informing, It's yet irritating.
If rides are broken down, it's not like I the CEO is going to go and fix it myself, that's why i have mechanics.
I will be on sandbox mode and he'll tell me an item at a shop is to cheep.
But if you're on "career mode" ( hope I spelled that right ) It's nice to know if your employees need help in any way.

I voted 1st choice.
I like him comments Enabled because he gives me tips on how to improve my park.
If he says something is too cheap and expensive, I change that immediately.
But with the Information Stall, I remove the umbrellas from the list and make the Maps free, because when have you ever had to pay for Park Maps.
When I set an entrance fee, I make all the other rides free since you paid for entrance.
When I make a Funfair, I don't charge for entrance fee but for the rides.
Something along those lines anyway. Smile

I have played the levels/scenarios countless times over and over.... So, now, I usually just play on sandbox and to me he is just another peep that aimlessly wanders all over the park. I totally ignore anything he says. lol I'd fire him but my board of directors at my park insist on that being impossible!

Has anyone noticed that when you start a new scenario there's no park inspector in the park or in the staff list until the park is actually opened?

And what do you know about that. At the start of my park I went out to bury the park inspector and discovered he wasn't yet in the park, hence my previous post. I wasn't sure if I had taken a screenshot but found today that I had:

I opened the park for a moment and buried him after he showed up. Then after spending several hours working on my park while I'm trying to locate a vendor I make a mistake while showing/hiding staff and discovered the park inspector was busy:

Evaluating refreshments!!? All his responsibilities are disabled. The only stalls currently in my park so far are related to the pool (sun cream, inflatables, swimsuits and sun shades). There are no food or drink stalls in the park.

Perhaps he's died and is evaluating all the hot drinks down there.

A little humor there. Smile
