Hi guys, I like to introduce myself - nerdygeekrct - Apr 22, 2013

I am nerdygeekrct. To explain my username, I am a RollerCoaster Tycoon geek who is also a nerd. (In case you are wondering, I am proud to be a nerd.)

I love making custom scenarios, rollercoasters and park layouts. One of my recent creations, to be posted in the Downloads section, is a scenario called "Broken Down," where you have to fix a park that ran 34 bad years. Tough objectives, hidden levels, a nearly unbeatable VIP (even I can't please him) and the fact that most of the land has to be purchased makes this an enjoyable yet challenging one. No custom scenery or rides needed! If you can beat the VIP, you will be treated to a hidden level - a sneak peak of some of the objectives in my next scenario story, to be released next month.

I would also like to share some of my creations soon, Trauma Tunnel (Intamin coasterball with standup seats, needs CTR), 13 (the best B&M ride I've ever created, with 13 inversions and a second hill taller than the lift hill, and an excitement rating of 11.18) and Thrill of America (standup coaster with 180 degree drop, needs CTR). In the meanwhile, please download "Broken Down" here: http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/6821, and share your thoughts on it.

I am also currently planning a project, which involves 24 coasters and a total of 75 rides plus themed areas and a MixMaster project in a 254 x 254 map. It will be named "Coastline." It is meant to be my vision of what a perfect amusement park should look like, but since it is still in the planning stage (like which rides should I include) I don't have any screens to show. Collaborations would be nice Smile

Again, I am nerdygeekrct. Thank you, and please download "Broken Down" at http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/6821.[/font] It should be a fun game.

Wow! I read your post and felt compelled to download your scenario. I’m pleased to tell you it opens in my game. I don’t believe I’ve opened a scenario since RCT2. Looking at a park I hadn’t built brought back memories. I may actually begin playing Broken Down soon.

You’ll let us know where and when we can collaborate on Coastline, won’t you? It would be interesting to see someone else’s view of a perfect amusement park.

It’s nice to have you with us.

Hey guys I'm also new to this. I want to try and recreate rides in as much detail as possible. I've seen some rides like saw and stealth on youtube created by people using rollercoaster tycoon but I don't understand how they've managed to add so much detail in. Is this possible just from the normal game or do you need to download some extra files? Any help would be great, cheers!

hey welcome to rctgo! The stuff your taking about is file downloads. The files are called custom scenery. There are lots of good downloads on this site and shyguy's site here is a link - http://www.customscenerydepot.com/index.php?action=downloads and just ask alex for a tutorial for putting the files in correctly. And again, welcome! Smile
